Chapter 7

The next day after I agreed to go to Phil's camp me and Micha had to pack our backpacks and fix the tote bag for sky. The camp was on the other side of town and I did not want to walk, so, I looked at the cars that were parked at some of the houses and found a deep green doge truck with a black tonal cover and four doors. I told Micha to load our bags in the truck bed and to latch the tonal cover.

"Hey Laura, what is Micha's favorite color" Phil had said with a nervous tone.

I smirked and said "it's blue, and he likes to collect pins"

Phil had beamed at me when i said pins, and thanked me, after he did he started over to a nearby house and broke the window to get inside.

After Phil had come out of the small house, through the door this time, he had about four blankets? And a small, blue, velvet string bag. He had opened the back door on the passenger side and put the blankets under the seats. I opened the back door by the driver's seat and put sky's tote bag in after Micha climbed in to sit on the driver's side.

"Alright we have everything we need to go, all we need now is to go to Phillipe's camp"

And with that Micha buckled his seat belt with a satisfying click and put sky in her tote bag, Phil had sat in the passenger seat, and I had to adjust the driver seat so i could see over the wheel.

We had to stop at a nearby gas station to get lunch and obviously gas. Me and Phil had raided the gas pump and filled eight gas canisters we found inside and our own tank. Micha had gone inside and filled a bag with snacks and he grabbed a couple bottles of water for us. We had ate outside and finished three small bags of chips. I found out sky likes white cheddar popcorn. We took this opportunity to go to the bathroom and brush our teeth, I had to clear both of the bathrooms with Phil and we found what Phillipe said was an infected in one if the stalls, it looked like a zombie, it was rotting and bloody, but it was extremely strong. I had to bash its head in ten times before the thing went down. It was a red and green bloody mess but we finally got to use the bathroom. After the bathroom fiasco and cleaning myself up we got back into the truck.

The roads were long and this town is bigger than I thought it was. We made it to a very fortified school with guards and barb wire fencing. We left everything inside the truck except sky and her tote bag.
