THIRD POV

Today was a beautiful day. The sky was blue and clear. The sun was beaming with its strong golden rays. The birds were chirping and Althea felt cranky.

She woke up with her hair a complete mess. Her skin felt hotter than ever, and truth be told she felt like shit. Sick even. And that wasn't exactly easy for her. Being half vampire helped in those ways, being sick was a possibility but it was as slight as it was to get pregnant. Near impossible really.

She'd spent the previous day in isolation. Had completed her duties in her bedroom and spoke to nobody but Jefferson who was kind enough to bring her food up to her room. The rest of the night was followed by intervals of silent cries. It was like everything she had been feeling was amplified by ten from that conversation with Bella.

She currently sat against her headboard. Nose red, puffy eyes and black circles under her eyes. Most important a giant pout. She looked over at her phone seeing it was 11AM making her groan. She was supposed to be up by now. She was supposed to be finished with breakfast. And she was supposed to to have Italian lessons with Jane.

It was a matter of time before said girl would go looking for her and that was the last thing she needed. She groaned as she stood out of bed, comfortably in long pajama pants and a big shirt. She dragged herself to her bathroom, wincing when she turned on the lights in there. Her room had blockout curtains which allowed no lights inside until she opened them.

She grimaced at the way she looked. Rough was the only way she could describe the way she looked. Letting out a sigh she got in the shower.

She felt in no mood to wear a dress. And once she figured out that her face was stuck looking the way it did, she decided it was a make up type of day.

Because of her conversation with Bella she felt upset. The mixed loneliness between her and the kings made her feel awful. Since her interaction with Marcus she felt better about going and asking them for things. For seeking them out herself and feeling confident they would accept whatever she threw at them.

She felt some quality time with them would help her foul mood

She felt some quality time with them would help her foul mood. Maybe they could have a comfortable day together while she felt sick. But she wouldn't let them know that. That she was sick that is. Not wanting to worry them too much. She did her best to hide her sickly face with some heavier makeup. Concealing away all the redness and dark spots.

Once she finished with some pink gloss, the looked herself over. Her hair, makeup and clothes were done and she looked as healthy as ever. As if nothing had been wrong.

She stood up, sighing and deciding to speed to the kitchen this time. She had no time today, feeling impatient and irritated with everything. The one thing she longed for was to be held by her mates.
