THIRD POV
Jane changed Althea to something more appropriate and managed to carry her to the infirmary which also happened to be near the kitchen. They never had any need to have a doctor on standby until now, so the only room they could fix up was in the bottom of the castle.
She was swift as she sped through the empty hallways. Doing her best not to let anyone see them in fear of notifying the kings. Althea couldn't help but close her eyes as the lit torches were much too bright in her opinion. Her body ached as Jane carried her but she didn't dare complain, although her deep breathes gave it away.
They finally stood in front of the doctor's door, knocking quickly. The door opened to reveal a vampire. He was middle aged, with warm eyes, and a bald head. He went to greet them but all thoughts of it flew out the window upon seeing who knocked
"M-my queen, what's going on", he asked as he scanned her over as she leaned against Jane. She tried to speak but Jane beat her to it, "Let us inside. Nobody must know we are here". He was surprised at her bluntness and immediately made movements to let them in.
Jane laid Althea against a table sat against a wall. Making sure she was comfortable as she did so. "Right then. What's going on, you don't look too well my queen", Jane glared at him. Obviously she didn't look too well!
"I found her like this in her room. She's been locked away in there all day, I'm not sure how long she's been like this. Check her over immediately", he nodded as he blinked nervously. "Right away Ms. Jane. You may take a seat on that chair, I will perform a few series of tests on her in the mean time".
Jane eyed him wearily, he was a new vampire to the coven. Only brought in to tend to her incase of things like this. She knew nothing of him and therefore didn't trust him. Especially not with her.
Nevertheless, Jane sat on the chair. Making sure she had a clear view of Althea incase anything went wrong. Even then, with just a slight force of her power she would have him crumbling to the ground with ease.

Twenty minutes had passed by with him asking her questions. Drawing blood and performing tests, Althea tried her best to answer them though a free minutes into their tests she began to feel lightheaded. Her speech was slurred and slow, but she pushed through.
She was a different kind of vampire, therefore her system is different and he wasn't sure how to proceed.
He came back into the room a few minutes later with a clipboard, he had a frown on his face as he read over his notes and results. Glancing over at the queen and then at Jane his heart grew heavy at what he would reveal.
"My Queen, the results have came through", Althea sat up a bit as she became more conscious at the sound of his voice. Full attention on him. "What is it?".
He sighed as he looked at his chart again. "There are two things going on with you my Queen. You must remain calm". Jane sat up at his tone, it carried a worried yet serious tone she didn't like. Was something seriously wrong with Althea?
"Spit it out. We have no time for chatter", she said.
He glanced at her after sighing, "You're sick, that's a given. It looks like your body has the flu but yet it doesn't. All the symptoms point to something like it, yet it's not what you have. So I must ask you, how has your relationship with your mates been". Althea's face scrunched, "What does that have to do with any of this".
