Lesso's Pov ( before it happened )

I had a bad feeling about everything for a long time.
Y/N seemed in pain when Agatha hugged her and I thought that was weird. She didn't seem to have any visual wounds. I didn't see any blood, not.

We were still trying to get inside. The magic hanging over the school is very strong magic, a little too strong actually.

Although I would rather be with y/n at this time, I knew they needed me here more and that she could stand her ground. Even though it was against Rafal and he had promised to do something to her.

Omg, what am I still doing here?

Just when I wanted to say I was going to them, the sky began to change and both the bridge and the schools began to shake. Large debris came crashing down and missed us by a few hairs.

" What is happening? " asked Anemone as usual the first to want to know something.
" Do you think we know? " I said back angry and stressed.
" Stop fighting and get into your school Lesso. If your school collapses with all the kids still in it, we'll have a big problem! " yelled Dovey at us.

Although I was worried about this whole thing, y/n just kept running through my head.

Could this have something to do with her?

Time to really dwell on it, though, I didn't have. As unhappy as I am about saying that Dovey is right, it is indeed true. If anything happens to any of those kids we will have angry parents here and how we are going to explain how all this happened, I don't know either.

So to avoid that situation, I went out of my way to open that door. It took all of us a lot of energy, strength, and magic to get in, but after several attempts, the door finally opened and we all walked in like lightning.

What we found there shocked us all I think.
Nevers and Evers helped each other as best they could to make sure they all stayed safe. What was also pretty funny in this situation was the fact that both schools had changed their clothes and I was watching Hester while she was wearing a pink dress.

Dovey jolted me out of my shock and along with the other teachers from both schools, we helped the student.

This went on for a while until everything began to float back into place. The sky returned to its grayish color on the side of my school. And on the other side, it became blue and sunny again, without a cloud in the sky. As I watched everything go back to its former state, I felt a stab through my heart that knocked the wind out of my lungs and made me collapse on the ground.

I heard Clarissa's heels running across the ground and less than a second later I felt two hands around me.
" Lesso, are you okay? What's going on? "
I still had no air, so I couldn't answer her either. Honestly, even with air, I couldn't have answered that question, because I didn't know the answer. The only thing I knew for sure was the fact that it had to have something to do with y/n. There was no other way.

" Y/N... " was the only thing I could utter. Dovey looked at me dubiously.

I had no air, no sense, and no time to explain it to her. I had to get to her and right now.

As soon as I finally had enough air back, I got up and without any explanation, I walked off in the direction of the tower.

All the way to the tower I replayed every possible situation that could have happened to y/n. All of them turned to the same thing, her being dead. I don't know how to explain it, but something inside me said that something was well wrong with her and that I should hurry.

At these thoughts, my little jog went to an almost full sprint. I couldn't and wasn't going to lose her. Not like I already lost everything else, not again because of him.

Third POV

As Lesso ran up the stairs, of course, we already know what happened. Our dearest y/n sacrificed herself for her best friend and although she said goodbye to her to them, she wished she was alone with Lesso at this moment. She was the only one who let y/n survive this school and she wished the last thing she ever saw was Lesso.

Lesso still didn't know exactly what she was feeling, but what she did know was that she really needed to hurry. If she wasn't so exhausted and if she hadn't gotten that stab through her heart, she could have used her magic to get there faster.

Lesso's POV

I finally entered the tower and the first thing I saw was not the mess, not Tedros, but the one Sophie and Agatha were holding in their arms.

" Y/N... " I exhaled. I dropped my cane and walked toward her. The sight I had of her made tears spring to my eyes and my heart break.

Sophie and Agatha were also crying and although it was also their friend, they still stepped aside for me. I took her head from Agatha and as soon as I felt her lifeless body, I couldn't hold back the tears and burst into tears. I stroked her cheeks and hair while whispering nothing meaningful things to her.

" This is all my fault. I should have protected you better from him. Without me, this would never have happened. You don't deserve this. This should have been me... "

I couldn't help but blame myself. She was the best thing that had ever happened to me and if I hadn't been so stupid and left her alone, Rafal wouldn't have gone after her.

I cried on and on and gave her a light kiss on her lips as a "goodbye forever my love.

" I'm so sorry, Lady Lesso. This is all my fault. " I heard Sophie whisper and put a hand on my shoulder.
" No it's my fault," said Agatha right after.
" I should have protected the three of you better. " said that prince boy whose name I had already forgotten.
" No. This is no one's fault but mine. I caused this and I have to learn to live with the consequences. " I said while sobbing and looking at y/n her face.

For some reason that one seemed, more alive." The first next one who dares to take the blame, I'll smack him in the head. " suddenly heard weakly coming from someone.

I was so startled that my breath stuck in my throat.
" Y... Y/N? " stuttered out. ( I never stutter )
" Yes? " she said and opened her y/e/c eyes. They still had that twinkle I loved.

I couldn't contain my joy and after a smile appeared on my face, I kissed her and I could hear her moan into the kiss. At any other time, I would have continued, but at this moment I didn't know if it was out of pleasure or pain.

" Are you okay, did I hurt you?" I asked her worriedly.
" It never got better," she said with a smile and then smiled at her friends as well.

I took her lips against mine again and this time I didn't top until I was out of breath.

I think there's going to be one more chapter after this one, but it's going to have to wait. I start my exams on Wednesday, so I'm going to concentrate on that for now.
I'm also working on some other stories, but if you guys have any suggestions let me know.
