Into the Breach

"Hey boys." Alexis says as sees Kai, Jay, and Cole walking towards her as she is sweeping the deck.

"Ah! Alexis! How long have you been out here?" Cole asks as Alexis looks at him.

"Most of the morning. Why are you so jumpy?" Alexis asks curiously.

"Yeah Cole why are you jumpy?" Jay asks as he looks at Cole.

"No reason." Cole says.

"And you just talked about getting it over with as soon as possible. Ha!" Jay says as Alexis looks at the three curiously.

"Getting what over with?" Alexis asks.

"Uh nothing." Cole says.

"All hands to the bridge." Zane says as everyone then meets on the bridge as Garmadon is leaning against a rail.

"Ahem. The Oni entered this realm through a portal or rift between our world and theirs. There are only one or two ways this is possible. And I'm willing to wager it would've been through the Realm Crystal. To stop this darkness from spreading the crystal must be destroyed." Garmadon says as the group gets into fighting stances to be ready to fight with him.

"The Realm Crystal is currently housed in the new high-security vault below Borg Tower." Zane says as he looks up information about the crystal.

"That's smack in the middle of Ninjago City!" Nya says

"Uh we just escaped from there remember? It's engulfed in a giant black cloud of destruction and now you're asking us to turn around and go back?" Kai asks.

"Have you lost your mind?" Alexis asks.

"I asked nothing. I am telling you that if you wish to stop the darkness the crystal must be destroyed." Garmadon says.

"And I'm telling you forget it. Just one of those black cloud tentacle things touched my foot for a second and nearly froze me solid. We wouldn't last a minute inside the darkness." Cole says.

"That is correct. You are merely human. I however am Oni. I can enter the darkness make my way to the crystal and destroy it. I will of course require a weapon." Garmadon says.

"Ha! Fat chance!" Cole says.

"Do you really expect us to just hand you a sword and let you go?" Lloyd asks.

"If you wish to live yes." Garmadon says.

"Well forget it! No way! I wouldn't trust you with a-a-" Lloyd says before Kai cuts him off.

"A pillow. It's the most harmless thing I could think of." Kai says as the others look at him disapprovingly before Lloyd turns to Garmadon.

"It's not going to happen. You're not going anywhere. Not without me. I'm your son remember? I'm Oni too." Lloyd says as he goes up to Garmadon.

"No. You are part Oni. That means you might survive." Garmadon says as he pushes Lloyd away from him.

"Well I guess we'll find out." Lloyd says as the group watches Garmadon leave the room.

*Timeskip*

"This will allow us to see what is happening inside the cloud." Zane says as he puts a camera on Lloyd's head.

"You sure you want to do this Lloyd?" Kai asks as he and Alexis are helping to get Lloyd ready to leave.

"I'll be fine. Don't worry." Lloyd says.

"I hope so. We wouldn't let you live it down if you weren't fine." Alexis says as she shifts to wolf form.

"I know you guys wouldn't." Lloyd says as he chuckles lightly and smiles.
