Olivia
"You think we're finally going to get rid of our last headache?" Spencer walks up and kisses my cheek as I make a batch of Sangria in anticipation of Luca and Gianna's visit soon.
"I—I'm not sure what I think. Those photos are pretty convincing, but I just always thought... ah well, it doesn't matter. We'll find out soon enough."
"Not so fast, Little Tiger. Always thought, what?"
I laugh a little and shake my head. He snakes an arm around the front of my waist, pulling me close until my back collides with his chest. "You know you want to tell me." He whispers between kisses to my neck.
Sighing, I melt into his touch. He's right. I do want to tell him even though I already know what he will say. Any conversation with him is always my favorite conversation.
"I always thought that eventually, something would happen with him and Schy. Simone and I always joke about it, but it's just something about them. I don't know. They kind of remind me—"
"Of us?" He finishes my thought before softly laughing into a kiss on my cheek.
"I know, I know. I said it about Leah and Trev. I said it about Gray and Tatyana. Ki and Aaron... well, we literally never saw that coming." And by literally, I mean by the time we met him, he was her fiancé. I guess technically, Spencer met my parents as my fiancé unless you want to count that awkward five-second interaction in my dorm room. "But Spencer, I think I may see us the most in Schy and Luca. You have to see it too."
"If it means I'll see less of his big head in my bed, I'll see whatever you want me to see, baby."
I twist in his arms so that we're facing one another and tenderly press my lips against his. "You're a real pain in my ass, you know."
"Not more than that son of yours is a pain in mine." He kisses me twice more.
"I just find it interesting that Luca hasn't mentioned her. It seems like awfully convenient timing for him to get photographed with this girl, and now we're meeting her."
"He gets photographed with a lot of girls, Olivia." Spencer grabs a bottle of water from the fridge and sits at the island.
"Yeah, but we're lucky if we get a name. Now, all of a sudden, we get to meet the girl. I know you'll say I'm crazy, but something isn't adding up."
"Alright, Detective James. How about we take a moment to appreciate him not being in the news cycle for something crazy like normal."
"Fine. I'll drop it—for now."
Finally satisfied with the taste of the sangria, I put it in the fridge to chill and head upstairs to change.
I've been researching this girl, and she's always in the most current designer looks. There is never a single hair on her head out of place. Her smile on her Instagram pictures almost seems copy and pasted.
She seems pretty close to her dad. There are lots of pictures with him. He's Italian, hence the Moretti name. Pictures of her and her mom are a lot more rare. Not that it matters because if you search Vanessa Moretti, more than enough photos pop up of the supermodel: deep brown skin, soft brown eyes, and long chocolate brown hair. Gianna is a true mix of both of them.
