"I feel there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people"

Recap:
"While we wait, can we go dance?" I asked bashfully.

Melody POV:

I had been watching the other teenagers and adult dance around to the music the boys were playing.

It seems like such fun

"That's a great idea!" Sadie said as she pulled me up out of my chair and onto the dance floor. Her and I spun each other around, giggling and laughing if one of us messed up at all.
We even did some silly moves to get Elizabeth over to us. We tried to do the fisherman hook one, which somehow worked on her.
The patio was soon filled with the sounds of our laughter mixed with the noise from the band.
I could tell that the boys were watching us but I didn't mind.
Eventually we pulled Savannah out of her chair and forced her to dance with us.
"I don't dance." She whined.
"You think I know what I'm doing? I just flow with the music." I laughed as I swayed around.

After a few minutes though our food came, we peeled ourselves off the the dance floor so we could enjoy while it's hot.
Truly it was some of the best food I've ever had.
"Good pick Savannah." I nodded, putting another spoonful of food in my mouth.
"Yeah this is great." Elizabeth said.
"I really like the vibes." Sadie added.
"Thanks guys. I'm glad you are enjoying it." She smiled. "Hey do you guys wanna go to the market after this and get some drinks and snacks for later."
"You think of everything." I smile.
"That sounds bomb." Elizabeth said as she ate another bite.
"Then it's settled." Savannah held her head high.
"Hey what if we invited the band guys to come with us?" Sadie questioned as she turned towards them.
It was obvious they were going to be leaving soon.
"I don't know." Savannah rubbed her arm. "I haven't talked to them in forever. What if it's awkward?" She said worriedly.
"Well what if we only went to the store with them, and if it goes well we can go back to the house together. If it sucks we'll separate." Sadie suggested.
"Yeah I think we could do that." Savannah nodded in thought. "They're gonna be packing up soon, so let's finish eating and then we can go ask."
"Perfect." I said with a smile, taking another look at the band.

It only took us a few more minutes before we had all finished our food. It seemed like perfect timing because just as we finished they announced their closing song.
"Let's dance for the last one!" I said excitedly, grabbing ahold of Sadie's and Elizabeth's arms.
"Yeah!"
"Come on Savannah." Elizabeth grabbed ahold of her as well.
Entering the dance floor again, we jumped around, spun, swayed and more then anything, laughed. It was really fun to just let loose to the music.
The song didn't last for much longer. The boys announced their departure.
We waited until their were mainly packed up before approaching them.
"Hi!" I said waving, the singer boy pulled his head up from putting some of the equipment way.
"Hey." The he said.
"I'm Melody by the way." I gave him a bright smile. "Savannah said you guys were her neighbors, and we were just wondering is you guys wanted to come to the store with us and get some drink and candy?" The more I talked, the more nervous I got, I even began to play with my hands.

Bro what if they laugh at us and totally reject us.

"That sounds dope. I'll run it by my brothers. Oh and I'm Luca." He held out his hand for me, which I took. He returned my smile along with running his eyes along the rest of the girls, who were behind me because they were too shy to ask themselves.
"Evan, Xander. You guys wanna go to the store with them?" He asked referring to all of us.
"Down." The drummer said.
"Yeah that's cool." The guitarist added. I didn't know which was which yet.
"I know you little Sav." He smiled at his nickname for her, as she rolled her eyes.
"No one's called me that in years." She groaned.
"I'm assuming you two have names as well?" He joked.
"Yeah I'm Sadie, and she's Elizabeth." Sadie introduced the two of them.
"We were just about to pay for our food then get out of here. I'm guessing you guys are just about done with packing up?" I said, still playing with my hands.
"Yeah just about. We can meet you out the front in 15. We still gotta pack our van." He replied with a smile and nod.
"Sounds great." Sadie jumped in.
We waved bye as we went back to our table.
