Chapter 21: Are You Serious?

"Ok." I turned away from the girls and walked out of that hospital wing. Leaving Melody there.

Melody POV:

Waking up in a hospital bed is not my idea of fun.
The bright overhead lights that practically blind you as you open your eyes.
The paperlike sheets that scratch you skin slightly.
The thin blanket blanket that contains no heat.
I went to turn over onto my side but a sharp pain surged up through my arm.
"Ah." I winced, fully sitting up the assess the damage.
Looking at my several bandages around my leg and arm, which had big splotched of old blood

Damn bro this sucks ass

"Mm" I heard a low groan come from my right side. My head snapped to the sound.

Who the fuck?

I was met with the image of a sleeping Tom. His head leaned over to rest up on his hand.
It honestly looked very uncomfortable but very adorable.

He looks so...peaceful? Usually he just looks kinda, mean and scary?
I mean except for the fact that he also looked incredibly exhausted.

He had dark bags hung heavy under his eyes. His cheeks were slightly sunken in, giving his jaw and cheekbones an even more pronounced appearance. And for the first time since I've known him, his hair looked slightly disheveled, like he has been running his fingers through his hair over and over again.

"Oh Tom." I whispered to myself, reaching out to touch him.
"I wouldn't wake him if I were you." I heard a voice softly call out to me. It was one of the nurses. She looked decently young, probably just finished her training.
"What do you mean?" I questioned, still trying to keep my voice down.
"He's been coming in here during the night. I tried to kick him out the first time he did it but..he's a scary one. Thought he would hex me if I told him no again." She gave a look, one that I have no idea what it means. "Anyway. The boy hasn't blinked an eye of sleep since you've been out." She explained.
"How..how long have I been out?"
"About two days." She replied nonchalantly.
"What?!" My voice goes high.
"Shh. You'll wake the poor kid." With that she walks away.
"Oh yeah." I look back at Tom.

Poor boy
Oh wait
I'm supposed to be mad at him

My eyes narrow for a moment, a mean thought enters my head

What if I push his hand away so his head falls to wake him up...I feel like he kinda deserves it.

I debated in my head

Am I really gonna do this? It's a little mean. But like also could be funny.

I swung my legs over the side of the bed. I was sat right in front of Tom
I whispered to myself "Ok. On 3, 1. 2. 3." I pushed myself off the bed. But of course, as soon as my feet touched the floor a shot of pain made its way up my entire body. A small yelp escaped my lips. The pain had made my knees buckle almost immediately. Making me fall forward. Right. Into. Tom.
"Uhoh." I managed out before I crumbled into him.

As soon as my body touches his, Tom immediately wakes up with startled.
"The hell?!" He begins. "Oh. Melody?" His eyes met mine. His gorgeous coal black eyes. It was like looking into a never ending abyss and I absolutely love to get lost in it.
I forced myself to snap out of his gaze, remembering the position we were in.

"Heyyyyy~" I drag out. "What's going on?" I gave him an awkward smile while shooting him some finger guns.
