Chapter 4: The girlies

I really hope everyone in this house is as nice as they appear to be. This year is going to be great!

Melody POV:
After my sorting, the first years started to pile in. They were getting sorted one by one in order of last name. Majority of which were Gryffindors or Slytherin. The occasional Hufflepuff would come to the table, which we would celebrate their arrival.

When I had sat down I started talking to these two girls who told me they would be my dorm mates. The one of my left was names Savannah Ellis and the one of my right was names Sadie Cassette. Savannah was truly beautiful in my opinion. She had medium length brown curls and deep brown eyes. Not to mention the best skin I've ever seen. She was the definition of the 'clean girl aesthetic'. Sadie on the other hand while beautiful. Described herself as the definition of the 'dirty bitch aesthetic' we all found this quite funny. Sadie also had long dark hair which had a good amount of waves, and stormy grey eyes. When I told her that the animal I brought was a cat she went absolutely feral.

"You know I wanted to bring a cat, but my parents were like 'No Sadie, if you don't get an owl how will we talk to you?' Like uhhhh that's not my problem. Plus we barely even write to each other!" Sadie complained.
"Well we can share mine if you'd like. I believe it's just back at the dorm." I offered.
"Oh. My. God. Will you please! I promise I'll help take care of it!" Sadie's voice getting louder and louder the more she talked.
"Yes of course." I answered with a laugh.
"You know having a cat to cuddle with, would be a good de-stressor during exams." Savannah commented.

As the sorting ceremony came to a close and the fest began, it was like nothing I've ever seen before. Piles of food magically appeared in front of us.

This place is truly a dream

Each of us piled too much food onto our plates. We all knew we would never be able to finish nearly as much as we had gotten but none of us cared. We simply wanted smiles on our faces and our belly's full.
The girls offered to walk with me back to our dorms, which I gladly accepted.

Tom POV:
She looked happy and it's disgusting. Why was she over there. It's not like she would've fit into Slytherin but still.

The plan of crushing her light was slowly slipping through my fingertips, and that simply won't do.

If I want something Im going to get it. And I want her.

I continued to glance over to were she sat every once in a while, to not raise suspicions.

But apparently it didn't go unnoticed.
"So Riddle." Warren started, "what do you think of the new Hufflepuff girl, now that you've gotten a good look at her." She teased. I sent her a glare.
"I have no opinion. Its just another useless Hufflepuff to ignore." I reply nonchalantly, hoping she couldn't see through the half lie.
She studied my face for a few moments and decided to not preceded any farther. Ending the conversation with a 'hm' and nod before continuing back to her food.

Glance

It seems like she's making some friends, she's already talking to those two idiotic Hufflepuffs. I recognize one as the girl who decided to dance on top of a table at one of our parties last year, and the other hasn't done anything interesting enough to be remembered.

My group continued to talk about the classes we will be having this year and which houses we would be paired with.

"Dude almost all of our classes are with Hufflepuffs, minus three, one of which is with Gryffindors but it's an elective so it's not even mandatory, the other two is with Ravenclaw. That's 5 goddamn classes with them!" Nott practically screaming by the end.
