Welcome to My Wonderland

So it was officially my baby shower, on the conditions that it was unconventional. Juliet insisted that it was at hers, which Andy wasn’t exactly sure of. I wasn’t allowed to help decorate, all I was allowed to do was sit and relax. Nor was I aloud in the house, so I was at Ashley’s... well it was mine too. I was on the couch, watching Batman movies when Ashley came and sat next to me with a beer.
“You haven’t told me what your dressing up as”
“You’ll have to wait and see” I replied smiling.
“What are you wearing?” I added. Ashley turned around and grabbed his cowboy hat placing it on his head.
“Your going as yourself?” I teased.
“Just wait and see little Biersack” he replied winking.

 As I was trying to explain what was going on in the movie, Ashley moved his arm around me. I looked over at him staring.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“Nothing”
“Ashley, don’t”  I started, we already went through this. I was a little annoyed Ashley was trying to act like everything was okay. It wasn’t; he can’t keep it in his pants. Getting annoyed he got up and left.

“OH my god!” I squealed as we got to Andy’s place. There was a sign out the front saying, ‘Follow the white rabbit’ with rabbit footprints on the ground. This was looking amazing. Walking inside there were giant red and white mushrooms everywhere, giant clocks, white rabbits were hiding throughout the house, Alice in wonderland characters were placed everywhere including my favourite the Cheshire cat. Walking in to the other room was a massive long table with tea cups galore. They hung from the ceiling all odd sizes and hanging upside down. The mad-hatters hat sat at the end of the table.
“Guys this is AMAZING!” I smiled to Sammi and Juliet.
“Thank you!!!” I added.
“Unconventional enough for you?” Sammi asked; I nodded, couldn’t stop grinning.

After finishing off make up and getting dressed I went back downstairs to see Andy.
“BATMAN!” I yelled seeing him.
“HARLEY QUINN!” He laughed, looking at my costume. He didn’t know the reasoning behind my costume just yet, I wanted to tell everyone later tonight.
“Family costumes!” Juliet laughed coming down in her Cat Woman costume. I giggled, it was true we were all characters from batman. Sammi and Jinxx dressed as Alice and the Mad Hatter. Friends were starting to arrive, keeping the party small as I wanted; only close friends and family came.

My childhood best friend, who I haven’t seen in 2 years walked in the door.
“Oh my god! ALESHA!!” I screamed running over to her.
“ARIEL!!!” she squealed hugging me tightly. She had to move to New York for her job, I still kept in contact with her though.
“Oh my god, look how beautiful you look!” she gushed looking at me. We sat and spoke for ages, catching up.
“Oh my god, who called the cops!” She smirked looking up at the door. I looked up and saw this guys standing in the doorway, dressed in a police uniform.
“DAMN!” she added perving on him.
“That is Ashley Purdy” I grinned looking at him, he looked hot! I looked over at Alesha, who was checking him out. I did fail to mention who Ashley was....

As I was greeting all the guests, I saw Ashley standing in the kitchen grabbing a beer.
“I thought you were coming as a cowboy” I said walking in. Ashley just grinned walking towards me. He lent down and whispered in my ear, ‘I know you have a thing for a guy in uniform’. He sent goose bumps down my spine and walked away. ‘Especially police’ I thought. Trying to compose myself, Juliet grabbed my arm, we were starting the games.  Sitting down in a circle, we had 7 baby nappies in front of us.
“Okay, we all know the game, there are 7 nappies in front of you, each of you have to try and guess the melted chocolate bar in front of you” Sammi grinned excited for the game. As she was hosting, she didn’t have to play to her pleasure.
“Are you sure this isn’t real shit?” Andy asked looking at it.
“Yes!” Sammi laughed.
“I’m out” Andy replied screwing his face.
“Me too” CC added. The guys were too chicken to play but everyone else was game.

I picked up the first one and looked at it, I wanted to vomit. It was melted, warm and had bits of what I was hoping to be nuts. Everyone was a little disgusted and grossed out at the melted chocolate. We all had a go and wrote down what they thought each one was.
“Wait, I gotta pee!” I laughed getting up and running to the toilet. Running up stairs I almost ran in to Alesha.
“Hey” she grinned. I looked at her sceptical, she had on her head  a policeman’s hat.
“Nice hat” I choked.
“I know” she winked and continued downstairs. I went in to the bathroom and saw Ashley fixing up his hair.
“She was my best friend!” I growled.
“Was?” Ashley asked.
“she doesn’t know your Harley’s father” I added.
“I figured seeing as she was asking how I knew you” he replied. I glared up at him as he went to walk out. As he got to the doorway he turned around and looked at me, a little apologetically.
“Your were the one that ended things” he replied calmly.
“Because you can’t keep it in your pants Purdy!” I snapped and slammed the door.

Eventually I went back down as we played more games. After eating my favourite red velvet cupcakes I called everyone together.
“Guys I want to tell you something important”  I smiled looking at everyone.
“You all know I’m having a girl but I’ve also decided on a name...Everyone knows how much my brother and I love Batman and how much Ash loves his Harley bikes” I started. Everyone was confused at where I was going with this.
“I decided  today to dress up as Harley Quinn....” I started.
“Your naming her Harley Quinn aren’t you” Andy jumped in. I looked over at him, grinning he knew what I was up too.
“Yeah” I laughed.
“That is so cute!” Everyone gushed knowing the whole batman thing plus Ashley’s bikes.
“What do you think?” I asked Andy.
“I may have to watch my back with my enemy around” Andy grinned, in reference to him being Batman.
“Oh come on, even Batman keeps his friends close but enemies closer” I laughed hugging Andy.
“You told dad?” Andy asked.
“Told mum and dad this morning, Dad thought it was great” I replied.

As things started to die down, I helping pack up when Alesha came in.
“Ariel, can we talk” she asked. I looked over at her, she had taken the hat off obviously realising what happened.
“Sure” I smiled and left the room. We went to another room and shut the door.
“Ariel...I didn’t...” she started.
“Lesh, stop, its okay...you didn’t know” I said.
“It’s not okay” she stamped down.
“Alesha, listen to me! You didn’t know, Ashley is a Perv and we’re not together anyway” I replied, looking up. In the corner of my eye I saw someone walk in. We both looked over and Ashley was standing there.
“Sorry” he said and closed the door. I looked over at her again.
“Lesh, your my best friend, don’t worry about it, I’m fine” I smiled trying to re-assure her.

Andy took me home, he and Juliet helped bring all the presents in and place in the nursery. Ashley was sitting down on the couch, drinking another beer. His shirt was loose and un-done, as he didn’t bother to help with anything. Andy glared over behind Ash, about to go over and say something but I stopped him. I hugged them both and said goodbye. As I went back over to Ashley he didn’t bother to move his legs, so I had to step over them.

Silence....

“Ashley...” I turned to him.
“Here we go” he gulped the last bit of the bottle.
“What?” I asked curious.
“The yelling” He replied, not even looking at me.
“I’m not going to yell Ash, we’re not together, I don’t care anymore, I told you I’m done” I said.
I couldn’t handle him being drunk like this so I just left and went up stairs. I sat up in the nursery, crouching in the rocking chair, I hugged the BVB pillow while looking at one of the photos. It was a photo from an old tour, Ashley just came off stage. Sweaty and still full of energy, I jumped on his back and we were laughing and running around everywhere. These were the days I missed, where it was all fun and games.

I was half asleep when I felt like I was being moved. I was too tired to open my eyes but I knew I had just been put in my bed. I could feel the sheets barely around me and then gently what felt like a kiss on my cheek.
“I love you Ariel” I heard a whisper but that was it, I fell back to sleep.
