She What?

***Alice's POV***

Peter finishes his story. I stare at him in horror, how could he do this to me?

"So that's why I brought Wendy here. I'm sorry Allie." Peter looks at me deeply and try to reach for my face.

"No!" I say, jumping out of his reach. He looks hurt and doesn't even try and hide it. "You, you, YOU betrayed me. You were going to send me away and have fun with her!"

"Allie I don't know what came over me those few days, but I'm sorry. Can you forgive me Allie?"

"Stop calling me Allie! You haven't called me that since we were younger. And no how could I forgive you when you did this to me?"

"I'm sorry." He sounds so deflated. I look at him trying to puzzle him out. Why? I can't do this. So I run. I run as fast as I ever have. I don't look back, I don't even really look where I'm going. I just run.

***Peter's POV***

Alice darts into the jungle. I watch as my true love runs from me. How could I have been so stupid that day? When I heard Wendy cry something inside me turned on and said, go for it. Now that I look back, oh gosh, I'm an idiot. I have never wanted anything else in my life, Wendy never meant anything to me.

"Aw she ran away from you!" Jason laughs.

I turn to Jason.

"You. Get out of here while you still can." I growl.

"Fine Pan have it your way. But this is not over yet." Jason says and then disappears. I walk back to camp alone. The boys are gone out on their hunting trip. I hear the occasional whoop of one boy that he has made a catch. I settle down on one of the logs and just sit there and think.

One boy walks into the camp carrying a dead animal he is soon followed by the rest. A pile of carcasses begins to rise as the boys drop off their kills. Several boys begin to pick through them and start roasting the meat fire.

"What now Pan?" Felix asks sitting down next to me.

"They know." Is all I can manage to say.

"They know what?"

"Why Wendy came."

"Oh gosh Pan those were some dark days. Did you tell them the other thing about Wendy?"

"No how could I? How could I say to the girl who already doesn't trust me, that Wendy never went home?"

***Alice's POV***

I stand there mouth hanging open. Peter and Felix stand in front of me, their backs to me.

"She never went home?" I whisper. Felix and Peter whip around. Neither of them say anything, but they stare at me in shock. "You mean she is still on the island?"

Peter nods sadly. "I'm sorry."

"How can you be sorry? If you really were sorry that girl would be gone!" Tears begin to pour from my eyes.

"I was going to take her home but she begged me to stay. She said her old life was so terrible."

I shake my head. No this can't be real it must be some giant nightmare. I pinch my arm and feel pain, it is real, this is all real.

Felix stands up and walks over to comfort me. He puts his arm around me and pulls me to him. He has such a damp scent to him. I can't take this. I disappear.

When my cloud of smoke vanishes I sit on top of the cliff overlooking the Neverland Sea. And I cry. I cry into the night. Huge wailing sobs escape my mouth.

I feel an arm circle around my shoulders. At this point I don't even care, I hug the person closer and continue to cry.

My eyes begin to dry and the tears stop. I look up at the person holding me. Jason looks down at me lovingly.

"Why are you here?" I ask.

"You looked like you needed a friend." He replies giving my shoulder a little squeeze.

"Thanks."

"Now I have to tell you something. I don't know what you will say and just hear me out. I have been preparing an island for us. I mean if you wanted to come? It would be just the two of us. Unless you wanted anyone else. So what do you say?" He looks at me pleading.

"I'll go." I say before I realize the words have left my mouth. My mind is so clouded with hurt I don't even think. All I know is its away from Pan.
