Caitlin tilted her head, like she was analyzing Barry and then hesitantly nodded her head, "Alright.. We can go-" "No!"
Barry and Caitlyn both turned to see Cisco holding his lollipop and waving his arms, "No, I want to be apart of this too. I may have..'lost' my chance, but I wanna help Barry."
Barry smiled and turned back to Caitlin, "Shall we begin?"
"Yes. But first, you train. We still want you to get faster than the Reverse Flash," Caitlin said as she grabbed her clipboard and headed towards the treadmill with Barry trudging behind her and Cisco with a smug grin on his face.
After an hour of training, Barry ate twenty Big Belly Burger meals to keep up with his advanced metabolism as Caitlyn and Cisco sat down to join him.
"So..what did you want to know about Natalie?" Caitlin started, drawing out her words.
Barry removed the straw of his drink from his mouth, "Well I-"
"Wait," Caitlin said, holding out her hand to stop Barry, "Before we start, I'd like to give you a few..cautions before you..pursue my cousin. And these are for any future possibilities between the two of you. First of all, I love her very much and if you hurt her just remember that I play a very important role in your training and most importantly your healing."
Barry slumped back in his chair and gulped, Cisco laughing at the scene unfolding before him, and Caitlin continued, "Second of all, like you, Nat's been through some..stuff. I won't tell you what it is, that's her decision. So be careful with her. And lastly, about your being the Flash, if you two become..serious, just know that you shouldn't keep it from her. She won't understand that you were trying to protect her."
Barry leaned forward and furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, "So you want me to tell her I'm the Flash?"
Caitlin sighed and shook her head, "No. What I'm saying is, if you keep it from her for too long.. It'll be hard for her to trust you again. Look, it just has something to do with her past. When she's ready, she'll tell you, probably."
Barry nodded his head, reassuring himself that he remembered everything Caitlyn said, "Okay. I think I got everything. Now can we get to the stuff that'll help me for tomorrow?"
"Dude, if you wear your head set we can guide you through it from S.T.A.R. Labs!" Cisco said as he stood up in awe at his idea. Caitlin and Barry immediately shot it down.
"Natalie likes simple," Caitlyn said as she grabbed a notepad and titled the page 'Natalie' and wrote what she said down. She thought making a list would help Barry and make him less stressed. Caitlyn was really glad Barry came and asked her for help. It proved once again the big heart that Barry had and she was very thankful that Natalie would get to see that.
"What's simple?" Barry asked as he ran his hands through his hair.
"Definitely not this," Cisco said as he pointed the now cleaned stick of the lollipop towards Barry.
"Don't take her for a night in at your place, she'll think you're moving too fast." Caitlyn said as she glanced at the floor, racking her brain for ideas.
Cisco cocked his head, "How do you know she'll think that?"
"Because it's happened and she told me. Nat tells me everything that happens after her dates. But I'm not telling you what she says," Caitlyn said quickly once she saw Barry's head jerk up. "Don't take her to the the movies either or to a restaurant dinner. I'd save those for other dates, if those happen."
