Raven's Point Of View:
My dream was like a rainbow with a unicorn to kids, weirdly impossible but grand. I stood on the roof of this large and dark town. I then fell off the roof and my mother caught me. We reached the ground and she took my hand and ran toward a castle. I noticed that I am in a white dress and I took note of the door's symbol. It was turquoise with a halo, Rater's mark. My mother then dragged me inside to a table filled with papers. She went through them and handed me one that is pink with yellow writing. It said, "Raven, the visions will show you your path." I looked at the end of the page and noticed more writing. "P.S. Meet me at Saber's Bark." The note ended with those words. How does this person know me? I give my mother a confused look. She just smiles, giving me a key. The key was a sea green color with a red tip. The edge was curved like a hook. Everything was moving so fast in my life and now I had to face a complete stranger who knows something about me. I clutched the key in my hand, but then the dream was fading as my mother tried to speak. I was waking up. I gasped for breath, taking in air fast. Racon was putting pressure on my ankle, Rater was watching from afar, and Mark was at my chest. He was pushing air back into me. When I looked at my hand unclenched, the sea green key with the red tip was there. I was so shocked that I couldn't find the words. Racon noticed my surprise and followed my eyes to my hand. He stared at the key and looked fearful. Racon reaches toward the key slowly but is stopped by a knock.
I thought I was hallucinating but another knock came. It was a louder and more violent knock that shook the whole ceiling. I grabbed the key and stuffed it in my pocket. Next came an earthquake. Boom! The noise screamed, causing all of us to fall. The bed toppled over, flinging debris toward us. I pulled my hand over my face while the debris flying at me cut me in the process. Mark is dodging by rolling toward the door with his pipe flying in his mouth. The bed is hitting Rater, which is hard for him to hold with the earthquake pulsing. Racon is struggling against the bed in an attempt to help Rater protect himself. Finally, it all stopped. I put my hand down, squinting around at everything. The room was completely destroyed. The bed dangles on its side, revealing an injured Rater once more. Racon is pulling him from under the bed to safety. Mark was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, Racon shouts, "Help!" I snap out of it, running towards him. Kneeling down, I check Rater's side. I could see a faint scratch. I thought it was just a minor injury. However, I was wrong. Rater was still unconscious. It could be possible that he is having either internal bleeding or was hit in the head real badly. Racon then lifted Rater onto his back and headed to the door without saying a word to me.
Racon's Point Of View:
I hustled Rater's body toward the red door, which was surprisingly still standing. Seeing my brother trapped and unconscious sparked a new control within me. I should have done my job as a protector before Rater managed to get hurt. I yanked the door open, only looking back to see if Raven was following. The hallways were untouched from the earthquake. Unbelievable. I twitched when I felt a drop on my shoulder. Rater's blood was coming fast and I had to move. I started to sprint, holding onto Rater tightly, with Raven not too far behind. I ran down the hall and turned left twice, reaching the exit. I came to another red door. "Open it." Raven commanded me from behind. I did. Someone in a purple cloak stood there, staring at Raven. The cloaked figure just stood there. Raven was frozen in place, absolutely surprised. Who was this cloaked person? The figure then showed its hand. An amulet laid there, one with the Raven bird symbol. This clan symbol was of a small dark purple Raven with a blue ring on its claw. Whoever this was, Raven was not afraid. Suddenly, another earthquake started up. I heard Rater move slightly. It was now or never. The cloaked person hid its hand once again and motioned for us to follow. Either we followed, or we died. We followed. Running when an earthquake erupts is definitely never a good idea. Fissures broke out, making cracks that I fell into several times. I had to have a firm grip to keep Rater from nose-diving. Raven was always a step ahead. She flew through the cracks like it was nothing. She had an eager look about this cloaked person. She either knew this person or she wanted to find out. Making our way out of the earthquake's range, we stop by an Evergreen tree ten miles south. Raven and I were panting like crazy, yet the cloaked person did not seem the least bit exhausted from the entire run into the forest.
