Rater's Point Of View:

That blasted Oanin! He cornered my mother and called her, "My lovely Cynthia." What was going on? Did they know each other? My mother stood there in shock, her mouth opened and her knife fell from her hand. It created a loud noise and we all looked at her. The dark spirits disappeared at Oanin's command. He still looked like the old man, Victor, with his illusion powers. I wanted to see his hideous face. Oanin snapped at Carter. Carter's eyes adjusted to meet his. Why? Why was Raven's brother against us? Didn't they just meet him? Why Carter?! Oanin pointed his finger toward me and Carter pulled out a knife with three blades on it and placed it in his teeth and ran at me. I growled and hissed at him, meeting him with my nails. He pivoted right and blocked my nails with the blade in his mouth. "Why Carter! Doesn't Raven mean ANYTHING to you!" I growled in my anger form. His eyes narrowed at me, almost as if I had got to him. "It is because I care, that I am doing this." He spat out the blade and said this. The blade was now in his right hand. Oanin noticed him talk and snapped, causing dark spirits to surround him. "Carter, no more talking. Finish him or I will have what you promised me." Carter shut up then, the spirits disappeared, and he was upon me in an instant. We wrestled each other and his knife had cut many parts of me, including my cheek and elbow. I grunted through this and whacked his head with the palm of my hand. He staggered and I grabbed his neck and pulled him into the passing out locked position. Carter's breathing slowed and I checked his pulse. His eyes flew open and he kicked my legs out from under me, causing me to fall on my knees. I howled in pain and stood quickly. He stood with his eyes closed and I realized what he was doing, trying to possess me again. It didn't work the first time for a reason. He cannot control the beast within me. I chuckled. "You honestly think that will work?" He didn't move and I frowned. What was going on? I cautiously moved toward him. As my hand touched his shoulder, his eyes flew open. They were white and a white substance seemed to seep out from him. I flew back and readied myself for impact. That is, until I realized he was not after me. He was heading for my mother, who stood there motionless. I looked at my mother in helplessness. "Run, mother!" I howled. Her red eyes finally blinked and realized what was happening a little too late. The white substance entered through my mother's eyes and she gasped at the impact. Her red eyes rolled back and her mouth became shut. After about two minutes, her red eyes adjusted back to normal. She smiles and it was like I heard four different voices from her. "This presence...is cold." Suddenly, Carter is repelled from mother's body and went back into his body, with a gasp. He looked down in torment, unable to fight me. Oanin saw his reaction and said, "It seems it has already begun." Oanin started to change from Victor to himself, to what he really looked like.

His hair was short and blonde, his eyes were black, he was about 7' tall, he had a Craven robe on, black boots, and a black staff that changed into a black raven. The bird howled and settled it's legs onto Oanin's shoulder. It was then that I saw age in his face. He seemed to be my mother's age. "Remember me now, lovely Cynthia?" My mother's eyes twitched in craziness. "How could I forget you?" Oanin smiled from her hateful response. "I don't suppose you could forget your first love...now could you?" Mother's mouth twitched and she clenched her jaw in anger. Oanin shook his head. "That is for another time. Where is your husband? I have come bearing news for you both." Mother made a hiss noise and spit onto the ground, which was very unladylike for her. "I banished you from here. How dare you come back." She hissed. Oanin chuckled. "Cynthia, I am but a mere illusion. Your power has kept me away since banishment, see?" He fizzed in and out of reality, proving the illusion. "I don't want any news you come bearing. Leave now before I decide to kill you." Oanin shook his head. "You may wish my death for what I did to you, but I did not come to take revenge." He paused and looked behind my mother. Mother looks away as well. "I never wanted to see your face again. Leave me!" Mother gasped as a hand touched her shoulder. My eyes followed the arm up to the face. It was familiar, yet I had not seen it a while. It was my father.
