Raven's Point Of View:
I raised my blade to Brady, whom I was raised up with like a cousin. He drew the last straw, for he wounded Rater. Rater's eyes moved toward me, pleading with me to run away. I told him I knew my fate and will accept it with open arms. I was tired of running. Now, I stand and fight for what I believe in. I shut my eyes and breathed in and out. When I opened them, Brady was already upon me. I flinched but managed to move in time to block him with my Outlander sword. The sword made a buzzing sound as it met Brady's blade. The impact was too much, the blade too heavy. I staggered back and my body failed me. I went down on my back and I heard a slight crack noise and my eyes slowly widened. I am so shocked that I couldn't find the ability to move. My sword fell beside me and I saw Rater trying to crawl toward me. He strained and I saw him still coming, ever so slowly. Racon was busy fighting off other people, Unar and Orion still are fighting about who will fight, and I knew I was alone. I was defeated. "Do it quickly." I demanded Brady, his dark black eyes narrowed and his red marks squeezed together. "With pleasure." He drawled out. He lifted his short sharp blue sword up and pointed it at me with a smile. "Goodbye." He stabbed down at me. "No!" I heard a scream from my left. Sandra! I forgot she was here. She held Sozar's book in her hands and she lifted her staff in unison. "Geist verlangsamen nach unten." The white light blinded me and I shut my eyes. I heard Sandra crouching beside me. "You may open them now, child." I opened and vaguely saw short blonde hair. Sandra. "Where is-" I closed my mouth and noticed Brady in front of me, immobilized for the time being. He seemed to be fighting himself on the inside. Sandra explained, "It is meant to stop his spirit and he will remain still for only a short time." This was.. This was Sozar's magic? But this was light, not dark like his.
Whatever the case, I slowly moved up and felt my back. I groaned in pained, only to realize it wasn't my back that was injured. Sandra frowned in worry. "Where do you hurt, child?" I slowly moved my eyes to my chest, then to my waist, and finally to my legs. "Everywhere." I replied. Sandra offered her assistance. "May I?" I nodded in pain. She felt my leg and looked up at me. "Any pain here?" I shook my head and this repeated until she felt my head. My head hurt so much that I slapped her touch away. "I'm sorry." I said lightly. Sandra shook her head. "Don't worry about it." She paused. "Do you have a concussion, child?" I slowly processed her words. "Maybe." Sandra sighed and helped me stand. "Times up." She said randomly and I turned to see Brady back in the game. I groaned and picked up my Outlander sword. If only this thing wasn't so heavy. Sandra smiled lightly. "Let me help you fight." I shook my head slowly, because of the pain. Everything around me was loud and annoying. "I will fight this one alone." I replied, with slight annoyance. Sandra ignored me and stood beside me. "Not with that sword you're not." I began to chuckle but immediately stopped when my head was pounding. It was then that I actually noticed her staff. It was a pristine red oak, with four silver blades poking out on all different sides on the top that closed up to make a spear shape, and hidden compartments that supply weapons and tools. I shook my head and concentrated on Brady. He was running full throttle toward us. I lifted my heavy Outlander blade with a grunt and slammed his sword.
Raven's Point Of View:
This time, my sword did not make the buzzing sound upon touching Brady's blade. I smiled and shifted my foot into position to hold him. Our blades let off and I instantly stabbed his shoulder. No noise came out of him. Instead, he was smiling. Shock overcame me and he used this time to stab my chest, or try to. Sandra threw a yellow spell ball of light at Brady, just in time too (the blade was inches from my chest). My head still throbbed and I struggled to carry my Outlander sword. If it wasn't so heavy, I could hold off Brady. Brady staggered back from the yellow blob and his black eyes narrowed onto Sandra. "You-" He groaned and held his head. That was random. I didn't know what was going on. Finally, after what seemed like hours of screaming, Brady let go of his head and looked up at me. His red lines seemed to move from his face, down to his chest. His black eyes glimmered. This time, he seemed like a robot. He attacked without mercy. His blade met mine again and I heard that blasted buzzing sound again. I had no idea what it meant. I then heard something try to talk to me. My eyebrows raised and I slipped back from Brady's sword. Was he trying to reach me? No, he was too far gone. Who else? I turned and saw Sandra leap in front of me and waving her staff around, making us a shield as she chanted a lot of words. Brady howled and attacked the shield, only to fail to break through. Sandra looked back at me. "It should be able to speak now. Listen, child." I was so confused. It was then that I heard it, small whispers coming from my sword. My eyes widened. "Are you- talking?" I mumbled. I tried to listen but small whispers were all I heard. "Raven." My head shot up and my mind seemed to heal itself, the headache no longer there to bother me. My intelligence leaped and I looked at Brady with new found knowledge. "What are you?" I asked the sword. More whispers, but clearer this time. "One who was cursed into a sword." Who could have the power to? I gazed at Sandra with wide eyes. She had the ability to control souls. She must know. "Quickly, place me down into the ground." The sword spoke. I hurriedly did so as Brady finally broke the shield. Sandra's body was thrown before me, shielding me from the blade. "Sandra!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
