Valor's Point Of View:
Sid finally healed up Rosemarie, but she was still out cold. I glanced at Archean and saw a ring on his finger. I put two and two together to come to the conclusion that Rosemarie planned on marrying him. It shouldn't have came as a surprise, after all, we are all childhood training buddies. Well, actually, we were assassins in training. My father, Hoss, was who trained us. There were many others, but we were the three that were inseparable. This is until- I cut my thoughts off. I couldn't allow myself to think of her death. I put my hand on Sid's shoulder. "You did all that you could do." I stood and looked down at Archean, whom was the closest to Rosemarie. "I assume you would like to carry Rosemarie?" Archean cracked a smile, possibly out of relief that Rosemarie would live. "Wouldn't have it any other way." I chuckled. Of course, old friend. Sid was someone I never really met. He was unusually quiet though. I shrugged it off and looked at Dawn, the twin brother. After I smashed their trackers, Dawn seemed to be in shock. I headed over there, forgetting about the others for a while. "Don't worry, Dawn. John's hold over you is gone as long as you are around my blade and I." I gently placed my hand in the air and Sara's black Outlander sword appeared. I had to remember to keep it on me at all times with them, in order to keep John's control away. I flinched at Sara's sword. It always brought the memories of her death back. She died for me, the one she loved. I wish I had died with her. Dawn seemed to acknowledge my discomfort. "You do not need to have the sword out all the time. Clearly, it brings back terrible memories." It was almost as if he had read my mind. It was the sword that saved me from John's grasp. I sighed and snapped my fingers, causing the sword to disappear. "Thanks for that. By the way, can you read minds?" Dawn shyly smiled. "In a way, yes." I lifted my eyebrow in curiosity. Dawn ignored me and finally lays Fawn, his twin sister, gently onto the ground. He rubbed his back. "I needed a break." He grinned. I tried to not let my anger get ahold of me. I cleared my throat and he snapped out of it. "Hm? Oh yea. You see, I sense brain waves. It is like reading what you feel and your thoughts together, therefore, I obtain an image of what you may be thinking about. Only images, not clear cut thoughts." I stared blankly. "Come again?" He rolled his eyes. "I am able to read a fraction of a thought, not all." Oh. "It must get confusing at times." Dawn shrugged. "You live with it. By the way, shouldn't we move out before Nexon wakes up?" This was the most I heard from Dawn and he sounded nerdy. He looked like an athlete though, he didn't even look like a nerd. Dawn narrowed his eyes at me. Busted. "I am not a nerd." I shrugged, whatever you say. I looked to Fawn. "Could you wake your sister for me, Dawn?"
Dawn nodded and nudged Fawn in the ribs. Fawn groaned and vividly woke, her eyes blinking rapidly. "Dawn?" She touched her short lime green hair. Her grey eyes looked to Dawn, a reflection of herself in a male form. Dawn's long lime green hair went passed his knees, making him appear almost feminine. Then, Fawn's grey eyes looked at me. "You-" Dawn held her, trying to calm her down. "Fawn, listen. He is our new master." Fawn hissed with anger. "You dare make a decision without my consent?" Clearly, Fawn loved being in charge. She must be the older twin. Dawn sighed. "Fawn." He warned. Fawn at least stopped struggling, but her eyes still showed hate toward me. "He is Valor." That was all Fawn needed to know. She looked up at her twin brother with understanding. "Our savior." Dawn nodded his agreement. He let go of Fawn and she rubbed her arm. "Sorry." She was not good with apologies. I cracked a grin. "Don't worry about it. For now, can you do me a favor?" Fawn still glared, even though she wouldn't defy me. At least I think so. "What?" She asked in an almost whisper. "Can you wrap Nexon up for us?" I flashed her a goofy smile. She lightened up a little. "Fine." She walked off toward Nexon. Her blue sparkled little wings shone through out the night. I thought if she was that easy, surely Nexon would agree to follow us. Dawn seemed to pick up on that. He looked at me, his grey eyes showing disappointment. "I highly doubt it." I had a feeling I would come to hate his mind reading. "If Fawn is your twin, does that mean she has the same powers?" I knew that their wings were different. Dawn's was mechanical wings and Fawn's was blue sparkly wings. He glared a bit, almost as if I had hurt his feelings. "No. I read sound waves from people's minds. Fawn is actually able to control the thoughts of people." Okay, so they had very similar powers. Wait, what?! "She could control what I think? Does that mean she can control my actions as well?" Dawn chuckled. "Yes. She is a puppet master." I glared at Fawn from a far. I was actually frightened. I knew all to well but I had to ask anyway. "Is it-" Dawn read my intensions. "Taboo magic? Of course. Everyone in John's clan can only use taboo magic. I thought you knew." John broke rules before, but I had no idea he turned this low. Surely I knew that. I never used taboo magic so maybe that was why. "I see. Does it- affect you?" Dawn frowned. He was silent for quiet some time. "It depends on how evil the taboo magical art is. Mine is a mild art because I do not bend people to my will, I just read their desires. Fawn is more of a medium art. She gets constant headaches and always catches herself before going too far with evil. I, on the other hand, only get a slight anger spout. No harm." I could only imagine what level John's was. The highest one of course. Dawn continued, "John made taboo magic. He has all levels." I sort of had my mouth wide opened. All of them? That was worse than I thought. "Meaning, he is no longer capable of human thought. He lost his humanity long ago." I should have known this. How did Dawn? Dawn continued, "The third level is more of a high art. It consists of those who...." He paused and I could feel something bad was coming. I was right. "Fed on other human's blood. They must in order to heal themselves. However, everything that they do, takes a piece of their humanity away. These people are skilled in taboo magic, possibly considered a top class magician. They are not all gone, don't let their evil faces tell you any differently. This is the last resort stage, the highest stage where you can still save someone from evil. The fourth stage is the next to highest art, the insane art. They feast on people's pain and they are too far gone. They become animals, not able to feel any goodness. The highest art, the immortal art. These people kill anyone and everyone to gain immortality. They are worse than animals, they are monsters." I knew none of these levels, and I'm glad Dawn explained it. "Wait. why are you three not flaming black skulls?" Dawn chuckled. "Ah, good question. Everyone in John's clan should be. That is unless you have a twin per say. For some reason, it has immunity over John's power. Nexon isn't because he is a triplet." I coughed. "Triplet? Do tell." Dawn mumbled. "Later." I groaned in defeat. Dawn was the lowest (Stage 1) and Fawn was the next to lowest (Stage 2) which sounded good to me, they were not too far-gone. "What about Nexon? Stage 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5?" Dawn just shook his head. "Possibly 2. He does not feed on people's blood." I nodded. Then there was a chance, whatever slim, that I could save Nexon from pursuing evil. I spotted Fawn finally done tying Nexon up. She waved and Dawn and I walked over to her, the night barley letting us see. I looked to see that Fawn tied Nexon up with some blue rope. Where did she get it? She patted her backpack. "I told you rope would come in handy Dawn." She teased him. Dawn rolled his eyes. "Whatever."
