Chapter 14 - Birthday Wish

Hoseok paced around the living room making phone calls, sending texts and going back and forth to his room and office. Yoongi sat there, outside the cage this time, and let his eyes just follow Hoseok as he moved restlessly through the house. Taehyung and Jimin sat there looking at him. 

"What's with you?" Taehyung asked. "You seem different. and how come Master didn't put you int he cage today? Did you give up running away?" 

Yoongi let his eyes slide away from his mate and looked at his friend's curious eyes. He smiled a bit and shrugged. 

"Do I smell different to you?" Yoongi asked simply. 

Jimin tilted his head looking at Yoongi and Taehyung scanned him over with his nose, even leaned in a bit. He slowly widened his eyes and made a little "o" of surprise with his mouth. 

"Y..you smell like Master. Like drenched in Master's scent." 

Yoongi nodded moving his eyes back to Hoseok and Jimin dropped his jaw following his line of sight as he figured it out. Taehyung still sat there confused. 

"Did you sleep with Master's blanket last night? I don't smell as much like Master as you do." 

Jimin tugged on Taehyung's arms and pointed to Yoongi and Hoseok then made his two hands come together and act like they were kissing. Taehyung gasped. 

"Omg you guys are mates!?" Taehyung exclaimed. 

Yoongi frowned as Taehyung yelled and nodded. 

"Yes, keep it down. Hoseok seems to be stressed out about something this morning." 
Jimin and Taeyung looked at each other as he called him by his name. 

"Wow...Hosoek huh?" 

Yoongi smirked, "You probably shouldn't call him that." 

"Well that's no fair." 

Yoongi couldn't help but feel proud especially after witnessing Hoseok pretty much favor Taehyung over him. At least he felt like he did. Though Hoseok was mostly just trying to figure out how to interact with Yoongi. He chuckled after he could tell Taehyung was a little jealous. 

"Anyway." Taehyung continued turning to Jimin. "Happy Birthday in case I don't see you tomorrow." 

Taehyung pulled Jimin into a tight hug and Jimin smiled hugging him back. 

The three hung out all day and Hoseok let Taehyung and Yoongi make Jimin a cake. He hadn't known it was Jimin's birthday coming up, but he heard them discuss it a few times. Besides, it kept them busy and entertained while he made calls to several important people about a few jobs that were lined up. 

He wasn't sure what he was going to tell his long-time boss, but he was ready to pull out of the business. His priorities had changed now. He'd always been a rogue, a lone wolf, a rebel. It's how he ended up with Mr. Jeon. Never in a thousand years would he have thought the Moon Goddess would gift him with a mate. 

He looked through several files and lined up jobs and made secret calls to call them off. He would deal with Mr. Jeon later, but he couldn't continue to be his right-hand man. He couldn't risk it. Now with Yoongi, he couldn't continue the dangerous lifestyle. If anything happened to his mate he would never be able to forgive himself. His entire thought process had changed and he was frantic most of the day trying to deal with underground operations that he made moves to pull out of. 

Jungkook didn't make it back until that night. He looked exhausted and seemed to have small cuts on his arm and some sort of wound o his side. 

"Jungkook you alright?"
