Chapter 21 - Remember

"Take a shower and put on one of the nice outfits Jin bought you." Namjoon's voice sounded at Jimin's door. 

It was early and Namjoon and Jin were already up. Only Namjoon, Jin, Jungkook and Jimin were int he house. It was a closed house day. Jungkook rubbed his eyes as he heard Namjoon's voice at his door. 

"Come on bro, we gotta get up and get ready, mom's coming over today." 

Jungkook sat up then, his hair flipping over his face. He gasped and ran his hand back over his hair and jumped out of bed. He'd forgotten all about his mom coming this weekend. 

"Oh shit." He whispered. 

He grabbed his things to take a shower but hears someone in there so sat on the bed going over his phone. He checked his missed calls and hadn't had any more from an unknown or private number. He couldn't help but worry time passed. 

He couldn't help but wonder about Taehyung, remembering how he mentioned he had a he and Yoongi. Jungkook ground his teeth and stood up at the window looking over his brother's land. He'd give anything to just stay and join his brother's pack and be with Jimin. but that was the easy way out. It didn't feel right. 

Things were not right back home and as scared as Jimin was to come back with Jungkook he too felt their days in happy bliss was coming to an end. Jungkook stood there staring over all the land and took a deep breath running his hand over his hair again. 

"Mom." He whispered. "What are you gonna think of me?" 

So much had changed since she last saw him. He was a kid and way less cruel. He slumped a bit not knowing how to feel. He'd spent so much time trying to impress his dad, now meeting his mom again he was confused on how to feel. Making her proud was going to be hard, there was so much he'd done that he knew she'd just be appalled at. 

He jumped hearing a sharp knock at the door. 

"Come on Jungkook, go get your shower and get ready." 

"Oh I was waiting for Jimin to get out the bathroom." 

"He's done," Namjoon said before walking off. 

Jungkook nodded and took a deep breath grabbing his items to take a shower. 

The house was already clean and smelled of delicious food. Jungkook's hair was still damp from the shower as he walked around the living room observing how clean everything was. 

Namjoon smirked, "Jin gets a bit obsessive when mom comes over." 

"She comes over often?" 

Namjoon nodded, "Couple times a month she stops by, she's really busy with her career and her mate." 

Jungkook lifted a brow, "She..she accepted another mate."

Namjoon grinned and nodded, "yeah, for about a year now. He's cool." 

Jungkook nodded, not really sure how he felt about it. A goddesses gift of finding a mate was supposed to be forever. It was looked down on abusing your Omega though, so maybe the moon goddess made an exception.

"Is their....you know, mom and dad's connection to each other broken then?" 

"It's been broken for a long time Jungkook." Namjoon smiled sadly seeing Jungkook look confused. "I know you don't really remember a lot from that time. You were only 12 when shit started hitting the fan and dad made it a point to get you out of the house. He changed a lot once you started going to the academy. He saw I wasn't doing what he wanted and was growing irritated with me. I was only a Level 2 at 17 but I already had decided the kind of Alpha I wanted to be. I hated the way dad hurt mom, would make her cry, would manhandle her It pissed me off."
