SUNOO’S POV
I’m always told that my smile lights up the room, but I just think I’m being myself. Still, every time I laugh or tease the others, they all seem to stop what they’re doing and watch me. I’m not sure why, but it’s cute how they react.
Today’s another day of practice, and I can already feel the group’s energy lifting when I walk in. I wonder if they realize just how much they light up my life, too.
HEESEUNG’S POV
There he is—the sunshine of our group. Sunoo walks into the practice room, and it’s like the whole room lights up. I can’t help but smile when I see him. Sometimes, I’ll glance over during practice just to see him smiling or laughing with the others. When he notices, I always look away quickly, trying to play it cool, but honestly… he has no idea how much he brightens up my day.
As we’re about to start, Sunoo teases me about a move I keep messing up, and I pretend to be annoyed, but inside, I’m just happy he’s paying attention to me.
“Heeseung, stop messing up or I’ll have to teach you myself!” he laughs, and it’s like music. I can’t help but laugh along.
JAY’S POV
Sunoo is clueless. He thinks he’s just being friendly, but every smile, every laugh he gives is like a little gift. I’d never say it out loud, but I always watch him, hoping to catch those moments when he’s fully himself, shining like the sun he is.
Today, I grab an extra bottle of water and hand it to him after practice. “Here, you’ve got to stay hydrated,” I say, trying to sound casual. He thanks me with a smile so bright that I almost lose my cool.
Sometimes I wish he could see himself the way we all see him. But maybe it’s better this way—I wouldn’t want anyone else to know just how much he means to us.
JAKE’S POV
I’ve never met someone like Sunoo. He’s like a little sun in our lives, and he doesn’t even know it. Every time he laughs or flashes that smile of his, I feel like my heart skips a beat. I tease him often, just to see him get all flustered—it’s adorable.
Today, while we’re taking a break, I poke him in the side, making him jump. “Jake! Don’t do that!” he laughs, swatting my hand away. I can’t help but laugh along with him, feeling like I’ve just won a prize.
Watching him pout afterward, I feel like I could stay in this moment forever. Sunoo is just… Sunoo. Perfect, warm, and everything I didn’t know I needed.
SUNGHOON’S POV
I act like I don’t care, but deep down, Sunoo’s warmth is something I can’t get enough of. When he’s not around, the world feels colder, somehow. So I make little excuses to be near him, even if I don’t show it as openly as the others.
Today, I sit beside him during lunch, acting like it’s no big deal. He gives me a small smile and nudges my shoulder. “Glad you finally decided to join me, Sungie,” he teases, his eyes twinkling.
I just roll my eyes and pretend to be indifferent, but inside, I’m grateful to be close to him. Sunoo has a way of making everyone feel seen, but I wonder if he knows just how much he matters to me.
JUNGWON’S POV
Sunoo is our sunshine, and I think all of us feel it. He’s the warmth that pulls us together, even on hard days. As leader, I know I have to keep my feelings in check, but sometimes it’s hard when I see him laughing or looking so carefree.
Today, he catches me watching him, and he tilts his head in that adorable way of his. “Jungwon, you okay?” he asks, concern in his eyes.
I nod quickly, trying to hide my smile. “Yeah, I’m fine. Just… happy you’re here.”
He blushes slightly, and I feel my heart race. Moments like these remind me that no matter how tough things get, we’ll always have Sunoo to light the way.
NIKI’S POV
Sunoo is my favorite person, even though I act like I’m too cool to admit it. He’s always laughing and being silly, which makes him easy to tease, but really, I look up to him a lot. He’s like the older brother I never had—except way cooler.
Today, I tell him a joke just to hear him laugh, and it’s the best sound ever. He ruffles my hair in that way he always does, saying, “Niki, you’re so funny!”
I pretend to hate it, but secretly, I live for these moments. Sunoo is my sunshine, and I’d do anything to keep him smiling.
---
As the day ends, Sunoo walks home, unaware that he’s left a piece of himself with each of them. He doesn’t know the effect he has on them—that he’s the warmth that lights their darkest days, their secret sunshine. And they all silently promise to keep his light burning bright, each in their own way.
