It was an ordinary evening at the dorm when Sunoo, the ever-energetic, always-sunny soul of ENHYPEN, found himself surrounded by his feline companions. Sunoo was no ordinary person; he had an almost mystical connection with cats. His presence was magnetic, and the cats—his beloved members of ENHYPEN—were drawn to him like moths to a flame.
First, there was Sunghoon, the aloof one, who often preferred to watch from a distance, but you could always find him lounging near Sunoo, his gaze softening whenever their eyes met. He’d nuzzle Sunoo's hand once in a while, his reserved demeanor melting in the warmth of Sunoo’s attention.
“You’re too cute for your own good, Hoon,” Sunoo would smile, giving him a gentle pet on the head, and Sunghoon’s tail would twitch in appreciation, a rare but genuine smile tugging at his lips.
Then there was Niki, the curious one, always wanting to explore, always getting himself into trouble, but never far from Sunoo. He’d prance around Sunoo like a playful kitten, weaving between his legs as he purred, hoping for the occasional belly rub. Sunoo had always found Niki’s boundless curiosity endearing.
“Are you trying to distract me from work again, ?” Sunoo would chuckle as the younger one knocked a few pens off the desk, as if to say, “Play with me.” And despite his best efforts, Sunoo couldn’t help but give in.
Heeseung, ever the graceful one, had a gentle and calming presence. He would often curl up on Sunoo's lap, purring softly, eyes half-lidded in contentment. Sunoo loved the way Heeseung would seek out his warmth, nestling in close whenever the atmosphere was peaceful.
“Rest, Hee. You’ve been running around too much,” Sunoo would murmur, stroking his hair tenderly. It was rare to see Heeseung so vulnerable, but in Sunoo’s presence, he couldn’t help but relax.
Jungwon was the playful one, always bouncing off the walls with his high energy. He would leap into Sunoo’s arms, demanding attention with little meows, his tail swishing back and forth in excitement. His playful antics never failed to make Sunoo laugh.
"You're going to knock something over, Jungwon!" Sunoo would say, holding him close, enjoying the way Jungwon would purr contentedly in his embrace, knowing he was loved.
Lastly, Jake, the mischief-maker, always full of surprises. He had a cheeky side that made him an endless source of amusement for Sunoo. Whenever Jay wanted attention, he would hop onto Sunoo's shoulder, nipping at his ear or pawing at his face, as if to say, "I want all of you now."
“You’re so naughty, Jay ,” Sunoo would laugh, but there was a warmth in his voice that made it clear just how much he adored the mischief in his feline friend.
And then, of course, there was Jay, who had the most reserved, almost shy demeanor. But when it came to Sunoo, Jay would transform. The cat would climb onto his lap, curling into a ball, and rest his head against Sunoo’s chest, his ears flicking back in quiet contentment.
“You’re so sweet, Jay ,” Sunoo would whisper, smiling fondly as he gently ran his fingers through the cat's soft fur.
Despite their differences, Sunoo was the common thread that bound all of them. His presence, his kindness, and his light made them all feel seen and loved. The cats may have had different personalities—some more reserved, some more playful, others quiet and calm—but the one thing they all had in common was their undying affection for their sunshine, Sunoo.
As Sunoo looked at each of his beloved "cats" scattered around the room, he couldn't help but smile. His heart was full. They were his world, and he was theirs. No matter how they expressed it, each of them showed their love in their own way, but all of it was directed at him.
"Thank you, guys, for being with me," Sunoo whispered softly, a contented smile on his face as he looked down at the small group of cats surrounding him, his heart swelling with love for them.
And in return, as if in perfect harmony, each one of them made a soft, satisfied sound—purring, chirping, and quietly expressing their affection in the way only a cat could. They were his, and he was theirs, a bond that would never be broken.
