Piper's POV~
"Piper, wake up." Mack mumbled, shaking my shoulder. His head was still buried in his pillow and I blinked the sleep out of my eyes. "Your phone keeps buzzing." I reached over to my nightstand and grabbed my phone. "Hello?" I croaked into it. "Piper? You're not still sleeping, are you?" I sighed. "No, Rose. What's up?" "I wanted to talk about more wedding stuff. We need to set a date." I crawled out of bed and rubbed the back of my neck. "Of course. Is it alright if we meet at Lucy's? I have errands to run and it would be great to kill two birds with one stone." "That's fine! Ciao!" I gave Mack a final look before getting dressed and leaving the house.
As I sped down the freeway, I groaned in exasperation while I approached traffic. I fucking hate Boston specifically for this reason. Of course, knowing my luck, my phone started ringing. I slapped the 'answer' button on my steering wheel. "Hello?" I mumbled. "Hi, Piper. Is this a bad time?" I straightened up. "Hi, Mr. Anderson. How's it going?" "Fine. You do know that I gave you a deadline the last time I saw you, right?" I face-palmed myself. Mr. Anderson had given me a couple months to change the story. But with my engagement drama, wedding planning and the recent discovery of Mack's secret brother, I haven't had the time. "Yes, sir. I'm aware of the deadline. Is that all you wanted to tell me?" He hesitated. "Well I just really wanted to know if you'd be available to meet again." I nervously tapped the steering wheel. "I'm getting married soon. My boyfriend proposed to me. The same day I met with you, actually." "Congratulations." he cheered. "After all that wedding stuff passes, email me and we'll meet again, okay?" "Yes, sir."

Rose flipped through her notebook. "So you already have the dress?" "Yes." "Venue?" "No." "Shoes?" "No." Rose looked at me in astonishment. "Honey, you need serious help." I placed a gallon of milk in the cart. "I know. I'm just disappointed because it's taken so long already and we've barely gotten anything done." Rose shrugged. "What's the rush?" I stopped in my tracks. "Well, there might be someone who could help out, but I don't know how qualified he is." Rose raised her eyebrow. "He?" I coughed. "Shane...Mack's brother?" Rose slammed her notebook shut. "Piper, I think you're forgetting that I am a professional wedding planner and there is nothing I can't do, 'kay?" I held my hands up in surrender. "I don't doubt that, Rose. But just because you're a professional it doesn't mean you need to do all of this on your own." She pursed her lips. "You make a point. If Shane is up for it, his help would be...much appreciated."
"Speaking of that..." I went on shakily. I pushed my cart through the aisle. "I don't know what to think about that whole situation. Like, Mack had a brother all this time and didn't even mention it." Rose stopped me. "You can't hold a grudge against him about that. You know if the situation was reversed and there was something you didn't want Mack to know about, you wouldn't tell him." I bit my lip. "You're right, I just...I can't help but wonder if there are other things he hasn't told me." "He obviously loves you." Rose insisted. "He wouldn't be marrying you if he didn't want you to know stuff about him." I paid for all of my items and looked at Rose apologetically. "Look, I'll talk to Mack about the Shane thing. See if he'll help out."
Mack's POV~
I thought I was about to doze off again at the kitchen table when I heard the front door open. "Hey." Piper said as she walked in. "Need help with the bags?" I asked. "Nope." I got up to greet her. "Hey, I need to ask you something." she said. "Sure." She turned away. "I was thinking Rose could use some help with the wedding planning and it would be a good opportunity to get Shane involved. Do you think you'd want to ask him about that?" I nodded. "Yeah. Definitely." The wedding planning was certainly not what Piper and I wanted to deal with. And since Rose was being so kind to help us, it would be an even better idea to get my brother involved, too. At least we could pretend we weren't apart for so long. I sent Shane a quick text, mentioning what Piper suggested and he replied several seconds later in agreement. This should be interesting.

So naturally we had everyone over at our house. Jen, Rose, and Shane. And Piper insisted we include the bridal party as a whole, which consisted of her friends Stacey, Bailey, and Talia, and Isaac, Eddie, David, and Dad, who was as happy to see Shane as he was to see me. That made things easier. A whole lot easier. "There are many things still to be done, my cupcakes." Rose addressed. "And now that everyone is here to discuss them, we can move forward." She nodded to Jen, who cleared her throat. "The dress is taken care of. As are the bridal party selections, and the bridesmaids/groomsmen attire, thanks to yours truly." "I'm gonna pick up all the tuxedos the morning of the wedding, and Jen will get the dresses." Shane added. "I know that's usually the best man's job, Dave, but—-" "It's okay." David cut him off. "You know I'm willing to step down as best man, considering Mack is your brother and all." I nodded. "Thanks, David." So Shane is officially my best man. I didn't think I would get a better person to be it other than my brother.
"Shoe shopping is not an issue." Jen went on. "Piper's my sister. I know her shoe size." Piper narrowed her eyes. "Just because you know my shoe size doesn't mean I'm letting you get the shoes without me. It's my wedding, bitch." Jen stuck her middle finger up at her. "And the venue or anything else along those lines take no time at all." Rose piped up. "That's great." I said. "If I know anything I know that us both don't want to deal with all this planning." "That's why us, the people who love you both dearly, are taking care of everything." said Jen. With a simple conversation we were able to book a venue for the reception, a chapel for the ceremony, send out invitations, and get Piper a nice pair of shoes. "You have to admit though," began Talia, the one of Piper's friends I hated the most. "it's totally gonna be awkward for you guys to get married, like, Mack's mom is—no offense—a fucking nutcase and once you are married you know she's gonna be giving you all types of shit."
"My wife has been through many hardships." Dad said. "But she's always been this stubborn and this situation is no different than anything else we've gone through." "The man makes all the points." Isaac agreed. Talia looked appalled. "Who the hell are you?" "I'm Isaac, who the hell are you?" "I'm Talia." "Pleasure." "We seriously appreciate this, guys." Piper said, changing the subject. Isaac and Talia were still giving each other these weird looks that caused Eddie to smack Isaac upside the head, and that made Talia giggle. Stacey and Bailey exchanged a disgusted look. "So based on everything we've been able to achieve," Rose continued. "I think it's safe to say you can expect everything to unfold the way you want it in a few short weeks." She was right.
