Y/n's POV
"Bye, I'll miss you! Have a good summer and take good care of yourself," I say as I give a tight goodbye hug.

"I'll miss you too, Y/n. Can't wait to have Alchemy together next year," Hermione replies before waving farewell as she boards the train. Returning a smile, I briefly wave bye to her, Harry, and Ron.

I know what you're thinking. How is a Slytherin good mates with Gryffindors? Well, the answer to that is simple. I don't care what Hogwarts house they're in or even their blood status.

Pulling me out of my daze, I feel arms wrap around my neck pulling me into a hug. "Come on Y/n/n, we have to get on the train before it leaves!"

I let out a giggle as my best friend, Pansy Parkinson, drags me toward our friend group. Pansy and I are basically like sisters. We met on the first day at Hogwarts when we sat next to each other after getting sorted and we just instantly clicked.

Once we got on the train, I head towards our usual area. I sit by the window, Theo takes the seat next to me, and Pansy and Draco are across from us while Blaise, Greg, and Vince take the table next to ours.

Not gonna like. I sometimes wonder how am I part of the IT Slytherin group when I'm only close with Pansy, Theo, and Blaise, but I assume it's because 1) I keep Pansy in check, 2) I'm one of the top students in our class alongside Draco and Hermione, so we keep each other on our toes, and 3) I'm a Snape — our head of house's daughter.

Usually, I spend summertime in the States or at our family lake house, but this year, I'll be spending it entirely at the Malfoy Manor. Yay — note the sarcasm.

"Y/n, why are you even friends with that Mudblood and Griffindorks?"

I shift my attention to the platinum-blonde boy and roll my eyes. "I don't see how that concerns you Ferret."

I instantly hear chuckles from the group. Although Draco and I barely talk to each other, whenever we do, we're always bickering. Pansy and Blaise once asked if we were secretly dating, in which I can't understand why they'd say that when I don't think I'm even Malfoy's type.

"Something funny?!" Draco snaps aggressively at everyone. And a small smirk forms on my face.

Everyone is having their own conversations, while I'm reading. Just as I'm about to get to a spicy part of the book, both of my legs suddenly get pulled out from under me as Theo places them on his lap while resting his hand on my thigh. Pansy gives me a questioning stare and I return the same reaction as I'm just as confused as her. I start to feel Draco's piercing eyes shift between me and Theo. But I brush it off and ignore it since I'm sure it's my imagination.

"Y/n, you packed your swimsuit right," Pansy excitedly asks.

With a big smile, "Of course, it isn't summer if you don't get some water therapy."

Eventually, we arrive at the Malfoy Manor. Other than the fact that we're forbidden to leave the premises, I hope this summer is filled with fun memories as I have my friends with me. But I still have this unsettling feeling for some off reason..

**

"Hey girls, the bags are already in your rooms," Narcissa says as she hugs Pansy and me.

Soon enough, everyone hurries off to find their rooms, while I calmly take my time walking up the stairs. I'm in no rush and this isn't my first time here. My father and I would have dinner with the Malfoys once every month before we stopped sometime during my 2nd year. I snap out of my daze however once I feel an arm around my shoulder.
