Y/n's POV
When breakfast was done, I went straight to my room to get ready for the pool. Pansy soon after comes running in. She was persistent with me wearing the right swimsuit to put her plan to the test. After looking at all of them, I decide to put on a baby blue bikini set with rings. It was simple yet somewhat chic."Come on Y/n, just wear it. You look hot!"
Looking at myself in the mirror, I begin to shake my head, "Pans, I can't." Unlike Pansy, who was unquestionably confident in her skin, I am very self-conscious.
"Trust me, you look breathtaking. Aren't you a tad bit curious to see Draco's reaction," she says with a wink.
This girl doesn't give up, and it didn't help that she is stubborn like a mule. We could've gone the whole day going back and forth, I swear, but I eventually give in since I didn't want to waste a perfectly good day to go swimming.

Pansy and I are laying on the sun chairs near the pool, still waiting for the boys. It's only 10, yet the sun is already beaming down hard at us. Taking off my glasses, "I'm going in already." And Pansy jumps in soon after.
—
As the house elves place the snacks on the table, Pansy makes her way to the pool stairs, "I think the boys either forgot or decided last minute to not come."
With a sigh, I go to the nearest edge of the pool and hoist myself out of the water. I decide to dry off naturally as the food smelt delicious and my tummy was growling. Once I reach the table, I take a bite out of a strawberry.
"Looking good Ms. Malfoy."
My head snaps toward the voices. "Put a sock in it Goyle," I reply before plopping the rest of the strawberry in my mouth.
Walking over to sit by Pansy, she lets out a soft chuckle before whispering in my ear, "He hasn't stopped staring at you Y/n/n."
Trying to not make it obvious, I look in the direction where the boys are in the pool, and within seconds, my eyes connect with a certain blue-grey-eyes. I smirk to myself as I put on my glasses, "Ok, you were right Pans, maybe this is fun."
After some time, we join the boys in the water. Pansy and I mostly sat on the steps while the boys were being boys as they roughhouse with each other.
—
Sitting at the edge of the pool by myself, my feet are dangling in the water. "How've you been prettygirl? It's been a while since you last talked to your best friend. I'm starting to feel ignored."
With a smile I turn my head as he sits by me. "Aw how could I forget about you, Theodore? You know you're one of my best guy friends. Sorry if I worried you lot, but as you could probably tell, things have been a little crazy lately."
Soon after Blaise joins in on our conversation and I tell them everything. Well, not everything. Just what I read about my blood family. I didn't see why I need to bring up the details about Draco.
"Well yeah, I'm a Sayre," I lastly say.
"I'm sorry Y/n. I can't imagine how you've been feeling the past few days, but just know we'll always be here for you," Blaise says while pulling me into a quick hug.
"So have you talked to Malfoy yet about your engagement," Theo asks with a raised eyebrow.
Unconsciously, my attention drifts over to look at Draco who's laughing at Vince and Greg as they're being chased by an angry Pansy. My eyes rack up Draco's body — his hands, muscles, abs — damn he's so fine! I don't know how long I've been basically drooling over him, but the weight of Theo's arm around my shoulder snaps me back to reality.
"I-We talked about it briefly," I quietly respond.
"Do you have feelings for Malfoy?"
Taking another glance at Draco before looking down at the water, "Y-yeah, I think I do actually."
Theo just nods as Blaise changes the conversation to Quidditch.
A few laughs and bickering later, I bring up the moment when Theo fell off his broom during a match because he was trying to impress a girl, yet Theo stands firm that it happened differently. After a sarcastic remark, Theo grabs my waist and throws me over his shoulder as he makes his way to the deeper end of the pool. I squirm and shout at him to let me go, but he only laughs harder. Before I know it, he jumps into the water while still holding onto me.
As the sun sets, I get out of the water. I instantly get goosebumps from the cold air hitting my skin. However, I feel a towel being wrapped around me. "Here love, I can't have my future wife get sick now can we," he says nonchalantly yet quite loudly.
"Thanks Dray," I say while 'wiping' my face as I feel my cheeks getting red and my body heating up. I hear the boys chuckle. And when I look over at Pansy, she has a huge smile on her face.
**
It's later on in the evening and we're all hanging out in one of the spare room's. Suddenly we're interrupted by a house elf.
"Young Master Draco and Ms. Y/n, you're wanted in Master Lucius's Office."
I look over at Draco and he takes my hand.
What felt like forever, we finally arrive—two big doors with the Malfoy family crest on them stopd tall in front of us. We both knew why we were summoned. We look at each other once more and I give him a half reassuring smile.
Draco knocks.
"Come in," I hear Lucius's voice.
The second we walk in I see Voldy, Lucius, Narcissa, and Severus. I can see an amused glare in Voldemort's eyes as he sees our holding hands.
My breathing picks up a bit as my heart starts to beat rapidly. Probably noticing that I was getting anxious, Draco slides his arm around my waist and leads me to the sofa. Taking our seats, the Dark Lord's voice fills the room, "Let's finally discuss the details of your engagement shall we?"
