——— SOON ENOUGH, Triston found himself on a large plane called the Helicarrier where dozens of SHIELD police escorted Lidianna and Loki throughout it. The God of Strength stood in a briefing room with his father, Steve, Alexandria, the redhead, who he learned was named Natasha Romanoff, and a Doctor named Bruce Banner.
A monitor played, that Steve, Alexandria, and Natasha watched while Triston and Thor looked away, listening to what was being said. Lidianna and Loki were contained in a large glass cell held by hydraulic rigs while a man named Nicholas Fury, who was the Director of SHIELD.
"In case it's unclear. You try to escape. You so much as scratch that glass — Thirty thousand feet, straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works?! Ant — Boot."
"It's an impressive cage, truly. I have one almost just like it back home, for my three-headed dog, Cerberus. Grandfather— Sorry...Odin Allfather got it for me from Hades. Quite proud actually."
Triston rolled his eyes, shaking his head. When they were teenagers, Lidianna had a small courtship with Hercules of Olympus and in wanting to keep the relationship, the families had sent gifts to each other. Like Cerberus, the three-headed-dog.
"Your point?"
"My point, Director Fury, is that, this is not built for us."
"Built for something a lot stronger than you."
"Oh, we've heard. The mindless beast, makes play he's still a man. How desperate are you, that you call upon such lost creatures to defend you?"
"How desperate am I? You threaten my world with war. You steal a force you can't hope to control. You talk about peace and you kill cause it's fun. You have made me very desperate. You might not be glad that you did."
"Ooh. It burns you to come so close. To have the Tesseract, to have power, unlimited power. And for what? A warm light for all mankind to share, and then to be reminded what real power is."
"Well, you let me know if Real Power wants a magazine or something."
The monitor turned black and Triston continued to not look, standing there, his arms crossed, torn apart. It stayed deadly silent until—
"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Doctor Banner asked.
"Loki's gonna drag this out," Steve said before placing his eyes on the stern looking golden haired gods, "So, Thor, Triston..." and they looked at him, "...what's his play?"
