"We will now help you guys ride an ilu!" Tsireya spoke as everyone split into partners. Tsireya with lo'ak, xaloria with neteyam, rotxo with kiri, and aonung with tuk. Originally aonung had kiri but he was complaining about it so rotxo offered to switch.

I called out for my ilu lei to introduce her to neteyam. "This is lei she's my ilu, you'll be practicing with her" I took his hand and placed it on lei "you should get used to her before trying anything. " he looked at me and I then realized I've been holding his hand for quite some time. I took my hand away and watched him interact with lei.

"Ilus are very different compared to your ikrans, they are much more gentle and they will not try to harm you" he nodded listening closely to the information I was telling him.

"How do you know so much about ikrans? " he asked me as I smiled.

"Growing up I was a very 'I want to learn' child so I know quite a bit about the nature and creatures of different clans. " he smiled at me again, he seemed genuinely interested in what I was saying and I admired him for it. "You may mount her and create the bond now" neteyam then got on creating the bond as lei's pupils grew.

"When you are ready think 'go' but make sure you hold here tightly, as you go under water the pressure going against you can be very strong" .

He nodded and they took off flying neteyam off of her. I covered my mouth as I giggled trying not to make him feel embarrassed as he swam back to me.

I swam back to xaloria a bit embarrassed, I wanted to empress her but all I did was make a fool out of myself.

"That's quite difficult" I rubbed the back of my neck as she giggled softly, her laugh is just wow.

"Don't worry I failed many times the first time I rode an ilu too, one time I flew off of lei so hard that I hit a piece of coral and I had a nasty cut on my shoulder for almost a whole month" my eyes slightly widened at her story.

"Woah now I'm kinda scared" she laughed again shaking her head reassuring that I shouldn't be. I nodded my head and mounted lei again. This time I held on a bit longer but I lost my grip again and fell off.

As I swam to the surface I heard xaloria clapping, I looked to her and saw her smiling. "Great job neteyam you stayed on longer" she was truly a sweetheart, everything she did was so genuine and I admired her for it.

I couldn't help but slightly blush as she praised me "thank you" I chuckled swimming back to her.

We spent much more time together as she taught me how to ride an ilu compared to the other pairs, mostly because we were talking most of the time but I am not complaining.

After a couple hours I finally got riding an ilu down and we were now walking back to my families mauri.

"Thank you for helping me today xaloria I really appreciate it. " I smiled at her

"Of course neteyam I really enjoyed it" her smile was gorgeous. "I'll see you tomorrow? " I nodded "okay bye neteyam" she smiled warmly at me and waved me goodbye as I watched her walk to her mauri.

I walked into my mauri when lo'ak began "look who's finally back" I rolled my eyes at him.

"Where were you neteyam I was waiting so long nobody wanted to play with me!" tuk whined pulling my hand to where she sat.

"With his girlfriend" lo'ak exaggerated while smirked at me nudging my side with his elbow as I pushed him away.

"Oh who sweetheart?" my mother looked up at me waiting for me to answer her when kiri popped in.

"Xaloria"

"Is that the lovely girl that came to get you guys today? She seems very sweet" I nodded at her as she smiled warmly at me.

"Going for olo'eyktans daughter huh? Just like your father" my dad said chuckling to himself at his own joke as my mother rolled her eyes at him while smiling.

"Dad stop" I rubbed my hand over my face laughing as he pat my back.
