𝒏𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒚𝒂𝒎 𝒑𝒐𝒗
"Ma' ria please stay awake okay! " I held my mate in my arms as I slowly watched her fade in and out of consciousness.
"I'm tired teyam" her voice was extremely weak and fragile sounding. It felt like if I were to hold her too tight she would just crumble in my arms.
"I know my love but I need you to stay awake" I caressed her head as we swan closer to a rock.
"Dad it's xaloria!" Lo'ak jumped off the ilu and helped me carry ria.
"Lay her down! Gentle! " my dad instructed us carefully. He carefully lifted her up to inspect her back. "Shit" I could hear him mumble under his breath.
"What is it? " I frantically asked my dad.
"Pressure." He ignored my question and instructed us to try and stop the bleeding.
As we held onto her shoulder she was unconscious but breathing the slightest bit. "Hold on for a little longer ria, I know you can. " I couldn't lose her. Shes my mate. She's my everything.
𝒙𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒂 𝒑𝒐𝒗
I felt extremely nauseous, like I had the need to throw up but I felt too weak to. Everything going on around felt like it was in slow motion. I could barley distinguish who was talking to me when I heard a voice.
Everyone just sounded muffled and weak, like me. I wanted to open my eyes but it just felt like someone was holding my eyes shut.
However I somehow got a wave of strength. I opened my eyes but I wasn't where I thought I was. I was back on the shore, but nobody was there. It was calm and quiet.
"Welcome back my child" the same voice I heard back at the spirit tree.
"Where am I? "
"It's a place of peace. It's where the you that chose to pass on resides. "
"What? What do you mean? "
"You are a gift, I've told you this. " the voice was as hypnotizing and calming as I remember it. "What is your choice?"
That's when I realized. The first time I had heard this voice it told me "someone will need you very soon"
That somebody was me.
Nobody needed my saving because I was the one that needed it. Growing up I was always very hard on myself and it had affected me greatly.
"So my child, what will you choose. Will you choose to live on your life throughout the war or will you choose to stay here, where it's peaceful. "
I couldn't process anything at this point. I was in so much shock.
"I.. I want to live on"
"Then you shall"
Suddenly my vision went black and I got that same aching pain back. I opened my eyes to a shouting Tsireya.
"Ria! Ria! Wake up! Come on open those eyes more! " my ears began ringing however my vision got clearer.
"Reya? " I managed to mumble.
"Yes yes! It's me! Oh my eywa I can't believe it! " she kneeled down and hugged me.
"Reya I'm all bloody" I gave a sad smile to her
"I don't care" she held me tight as I felt her tears stream down my back. I caressed her hair as she held onto me.
"Where's neteyam? "
"He left with Jake and lo'ak to find tuk and kiri"
"I need to go"
"What are you crazy?! You almost died!" She dramatically shook her head as I took her hand.
"I have to tsireya, trust me okay, you have to trust me" her eyes began to fill with tears again.
"Fine, but please come back" she gave me another big hug.
"I'm not going anywhere little sister. " I hugged her back and stood up and began swimming towards the ship, calling an ilu.
