The Beginning of the End

"All right, guys," said John. "WE ARE AT WAR!"

Have you never been in a full-scale battle above a planet? I've gotta tell you. It's fun. At the same time, it's extremely terrifying, and if you mess up even ONCE, that could cost your entire side the battle. In this battle, it's just the four of us against a fully-armed Nemesis fleet. Great odds. Who do you think will win?

"Gee, John," said Joseph. "I had no idea. I would never have signed up if I knew this was a war!"

"Shut up, Joseph," said John. "You know very well that you signed up to the HSA because YOU wanted to be in a war!"

"Guys, not the time!" yelled Henry. "Delta Plus Attack!"

Marijn, Joseph and Henry formed a triangle formation, while John hovered above them.

"Go to hell, bitch!" yelled Joseph as he blasted a Nemesis ship out of the way.

It was utter chaos. The four of them fought as hard as they could against a fully-armed Nemesis fleet. As none of them had had any previous encounter with the Nemesis, they had no idea what to do.

Marijn ripped a Nemesis ship with his suit. "There're too many of them!" he said. "We need a new tactic!"

"Stay frosty, guys," said John. "I'm pretty sure the Arsenal will be ready with reinforcements soon."

BOOM

A missile hit Marijn.

"Gah!" he groaned. "I didn't see that coming!"

"Could be stealth missiles," said Joseph.

"My suit can pick up all stealth objects," said Marijn.

"Not the moment!" screamed Henry as a Nemesis ship just scratched his wing. His ship shuddered, but quickly stabilized.

"Fall back!" yelled John.

The four of them sped away to avoid major damage.

"What are we going to do now?" asked Joseph.

Silence held the four of them. Then, Marijn spoke up.

"I've got an idea," he said with a wicked grin. "We're going into the Mothership."
