"Back to the Arsenal," agreed Marijn. "We must tell them of our loss. And the change in leadership."

I must admit it. I miss John. He was such a good captain, friend. The way Marijn handled us though, after John's death, was inspired. It made me feel a sense of respect towards the guy. I've always respected him, don't get me wrong. I've always lo-liked him. But his new title as captain seems... awesome, in fact! And I know he will lead us to victory, just as he did today.

"To a great and treasured friend," said Captain Marijn Jomar at the dining area of the U.S.S. Arsenal. "May he always be remembered in our minds, as well as hearts. John."

"John," the crew of the Arsenal repeated. They started to eat.

"That was a great speech," whispered First Officer Joseph to Marijn. "I could probably do better."

"Oh, shut up," said Marijn. He smiled.

"We I fouf eh wash bwillent," said Commander Henry with food in his mouth.

"Come again?" asked Marijn.

Henry swallowed. "I said," he started slowly. "I thought it was brilliant."

"Thanks," Marijn said.

"So," said Lieutenant Demi, coming up to them with Hannah beside her. Barry and Arnold were behind them. "What do we do now?"

"Well," said Marijn. "The Nemesis are still out there."

"True," said Joseph. "But enough fighting for one day. Maybe one year. Besides!" he gestured around them. "Food!"

"That's true," said Marijn. He stuck a fork into some chicken. "I think we all deserve a rest from fighting for a while."

The End.
