"Nemesis," John said. "Go to hell."

When I said that, I meant it. They have been an utter pain in the ass. They trapped Marijn, Joseph, Henry and I. They shot at us. They even freaking locked us up in a cell. I'm kinda claustrophobic. I hate enclosed spaces. Especially with other people. A ship is fine, though. The thrill of the chase, the blood rushing through your veins kinda mulls out the fear of enclosed spaces.

"Go, go, go!" yelled Marijn.

"You don't think we know that, Marijn?!" yelled Joseph.

"Henry, use back blasters. You've got a Nemesis on your tail," said Demi.

"Thanks!" replied Henry. A blaster came out on a hydraulic arm from the bottom of his ship. It fired at the Nemesis fighter.

"What's that big circle thing?" asked Hannah. She pointed to a big indent in the Nemesis Mothership.

Joseph and Marijn's eyes widened when they looked at it. Joseph saw that Marijn also knew what it was and his face turned red.

"Th-that's an Atom Displacement Laser," stuttered Joseph. "How the hell did they make one of that scale?!"

"I'm sorry, what's that?" asked Henry.

Before Joseph could reply, Marijn interrupted. "When shot, it... how should I put this... scatters the atoms of the thing it hits. And then..."

"So you mean..." said Henry slowly. "If it hits one of us..."

"Game over," said Marijn.

"Gods..." shuddered Henry. His face turned pale.

"There's a small hole in the middle of it," said Demi. "You think that's where the laser comes from?"

"Absolutely," said Joseph. "But since it's a smaller hole compared to the dish, the blast would be smalle-"

TOO LATE.

The words buzzed in their speakers.

"What was that?!" said Hannah.

"Probably the Nemesis," said John. "They've translated their speech to English."

YOU ARE A THREAT TO US.

"Shut up," said Marijn.

YOU WILL ALL DIE.

"That's great," said Hannah. "Can't wait to see that happen."

STARTING WITH THE MAN OF STEEL.

The dish started to glow. Realization dawned from John's face.

"They're going to kill you, Marijn," he said quietly.

"I know," replied Marijn.

Joseph's eyes widened in shock.

"What?!" he cried.

The dish glowed brighter.

"We've got to leave!" said Demi.

"Let's go!" yelled Hannah.

"No," said Marijn. "It's too late. It's locked onto me."

"NO! MARIJN!" screamed Joseph.

Marijn spread his arms wide and faced the Nemesis Mothership.

"Goodbye, friends," he whispered.

The laser fired. In a split-second, John flew over in front of Marijn, shielding him. He was then engulfed in a bright light.
