The Cave

CRASH

Hannah, why did you have to crash into me? Everything was going so well. While the others are up above the Earth, Hannah and I crash landed while we saw explosions up above. I really do hope they're okay. Without us, they stand less of a chance against the Nemesis...

"Uhhhh..." groaned Hannah. "Pretty stars..."

Demi rolled over from her broken cockpit to examine their surroundings. It was just a bunch of trees; a forest somewhere, obviously. Behind Hannah, she spotted a cave. She decided it would be a good place to rest.

"Hannah?" asked Demi, poking Hannah. "Are you awake?"

Hannah slumped over, revealing a large knot on her forehead. Demi looked down on her hands and saw she was bleeding from her head.

"Damn," cursed Demi. She lifted Hannah up from the ground, hobbling over to the cave. At least they could rest there and take stock of supplies.

BANG

Demi's ears perked up. She heard a sound coming from behind them.

"Gods curse you, simpleton! Why did you have to drop the Reactor?"

Demi stood up and got out her laser pistol. She pointed it towards the sound.

"H-hello?" asked Demi into the darkness.

There was a pause. Then, two figures emerged from the dark, one holding a large silver object.

"Ah! Don't shoot!" cried the one holding the silver object. "This thing could go critical and blow up on us!"

"Who are you?" demanded Demi.

"Promise not to shoot us if we tell you?" asked the one with the empty hands.

"Depends," replied Demi. "Any funny business at all, and I shoot."

"All right!" panicked Object Man. "I'm Arnold Smautz and this is my brother Barry Smautz!"

"Thank you," said Demi. Then she noticed a small bag under the silver object with a medical symbol on it. "Are those medical supplies?"

"Yes, but they're on- is your friend okay?" asked Barry Smautz, noticing Hannah on the ground.

"I think so," replied Demi. "She was kinda drunk while flying a ship and we crashed. Then, well..." She gestured around them. "Here we are."

"Arnold, you know what to do," said Barry.

Arnold ran over to Hannah and poured in some weird silvery liquid into her mouth. Hannah began to twitch and her eyes fluttered open.

"I had the strangest dream," she announced. "I dreamed we were flying on winged llamas, then some pink fluffy unicorns came in and attacked us. Then I crashed into you, Demi!"

Demi sighed with relief. "Thank you," she said. "Now if you wouldn't mind, can you do us another favour?"

"Only if you tell us your story first," said Arnold. "Then we shall decide whether you are friend..." He lit a small light "Or foe."
