chapter thirteen

The air was heavy with the smell of spicy seafood as Jisoo sat in one of the table in the middle of a popular hotpot restaurant. She was sitting quietly for while now staring the person infront digging for answers.

"No, this doesn't makes sense."

"What?" Taehyung looked startled.

"Why were you there? Did you followed me?"

"Hey, what do you think of me? I'm no stalker."

"Stalker. Exactly! The entire time I felt as if I was being watched and followed and suddenly boom it's you!"

"Hey it's not me seriously! Even I'm getting the eyes."

"Really?"

"Yep..and i think it's related to the murder that took place near our university."

"You mean the forest? The same forest we went few days back?" Taehyung nods. Jisoo who was still in disbelief doesn't believes him at all. "I still think you are making the whole things up."

"Can I create the murders too?"

"Unless you killed them."

"Enough of your stories. Eat this." He said putting the meat in the lettuce and serving to her. Jisoo took a whole bite in response against him. Taehyung couldn't help but smirk.

"There's no way people would assume we are couple."

"Don't even think about it." Jisoo said munching.

"Why? Are you nervous?"

"Are we still doing the assignment?"

Taehyung nods and shooks at the same time trying to annoy Jisoo.

"Why not just eat while you are at it!" This time she picks up a little lettuce and put it in his mouth.

"I'm not hungry." Jisoo said acting like quite the opposite she was acting an hour ago. Her stomach went against her and made the loudest grumbling sound. Jisoo was embarassed with Taehyung looking at her. She knew what he was going to tell.

"Are you sure?"

Two mini second passed after when jisoo quickly got hold of her chopsticks and ate like she was having her first meal of the time.

"I'm really tired right now and this food tastes so good. But there's something missing."

"What?" He asked her. Jisoo straight up ignored him and called the host for a alcohol.

"You wanna get drunk the day before class."

"I don't have any classes tomorrow." Jisoo said.

The lady brought her alcohol and she offered a cup to taehyung.

"I heard bad boys goes to club on weekends then why are you here?"

Taehyung shrugs before taking the cup.

"I had some work. And I don't always go to club." He said looking away from her.

"Really? Good then."

Taehyung stared at her. She was getting drunk really quick. He wanted her to stop drinking now.

"It's really unhealthy to drink alcohol everyday I believe. You may get heartattacks."

"Hey, don't drink anymore." He said trying to put her hands away from the cup. But she insists on drinking.

"You drink a lot too. Did I ever stopped you?"

"Shhh" He said. "Let's go now."

"Ajumma one more bottle please." Jisoo said ignoring him entirely.

"Why are you even drinking?"

"And why aren't you drinking?"

"Someone has to drive.." he said softly.

Jisoo ate everything on her plate when it was time for them to leave. Taehyung had to pay for the food as Jisoo was totally knocked out. He had no choice but to give her a piggyback till he reach his car parked in the parking lot. While on the way, Jisoo annoyed him a lot which he didn't seemed to mind at all.

He let her in the passenger seat as inhe was going to drive. Suddenly he received a call from someone.

"Hey..what's wrong?" Someone from the other end told him something. From the panic in the voice, Taehyung already knew that there was something wrong. He quickly drove to the club he usually went. As soon as he entered, he noticed a crowd in the middle of the dance floor.

Something must have had happened. Taehyung pushed through the crowds till his eyes went to a person lying on the ground.

Taehyung gasped as he saw the lifeless dead body of Kai lying on the floor.

"What the hell happened here?" Taehyung roared. He looked around at the people who were equally confused and scared as him. None of his friends were present except Sehun.

"Taehyung, this is bad. What do we do?"

The horror in Taehyung's face was convincing enough that this wasn't just anything less than a murder.
