Before the time that Puffertail met Cloudsky, Splashflight sneaked out to find her. Am I really doing this? she pondered to herself. Will I go to the Dark Forest? Dark Forest or not, one of the two needs to die. And it's not going to be my brother.

Cloudsky always was there first, so there shouldn't be a problem. If everything goes well.

Splashflight crept through RiverClan territory, getting closer and closer to the ShadowClan border. Closer to victory.

Yes! Splashflight's heart leaped in joy as she spotted Cloudsky. The she-cat was sitting there patiently. Probably has nothing better to do. Splashflight thought.

She crouched, ready to spring. Splashflight looked at Cloudsky one last time. The she-cat had no idea that she was about to die.

Splashflight lunged toward Cloudsky. The she-cat let out a startled yowl and Splashflight pinned her down. Wow, that was easy.

Cloudsky struggled beneath Splashflight's paws.

"Time to die, code breaker." Splashflight snarled.

"Please l-let m-me go-" Cloudsky's plead was cut short when Splashflight delt the killing blow to her throat.

Cloudsky lay limp beneath her.

"How could you!?" an outraged growl came from behind Splashflight. She spun around.

"I did it for you, brother." Splashflight hissed.

Puffertail's eyes widened in horror. "Y-you murdered her!" he choked out.

"Well, how else would I stop you from breaking the warrior code?" Splashflight responded silkily.

Puffertail didn't reply. Instead, he lunged at her with unsheathed claws. Before Splashflight could react, a bright ginger blur passed in front of her, pushing Puffertail out of Splashflight's way. Fluffheart!

Fluffheart pinned Puffertail down. "How about you join your mate in StarClan?" he snarled.

Puffertail struggled to get free but failed. He instead clawd Fluffheart's belly. Fluffheart hissed in pain.

"Splashflight! End him!"

Splashflight hesitated. Could she really kill her own brother? Yes, I can. He broke the warrior code and was planning to kill Thornwillow. It's for the best.

Before she could change her mind, she padded over and raised a claw over Puffertail's neck. "Any last words?" she asked.

Puffertail shook his head.

"Fine, have it your way."

Splashflight slashed his throat open. Blood gushed out fast, and no one could get here in time to save him.

She sighed. Fluffheart seemed to read her mind.

It's over.
