Lana

"I can't believe you did it," Rose shook her head in disbelief, "This is unprecedented. You're literally getting those assholes to bow down and kiss your ring."

I waved my hand at her and wiggled my finger, "Why do you think I wore this ridiculously expensive rock today? When I'm done with them they'll be kissing my ring and my ass."

Rose laughed, "I believe that."

"But that's not what this is about," I smiled, "I still need your insider information and I need a huge favor."

"You want to use my house to throw a party," she filled in the blank for me, "My answer is—

"Wait," I cut her off, "Before you say no, I just want to say that I will pay for the entire thing, including cleanup. Nothing bad will happen on my watch, I promise."

"I wasn't going to say no," she said, "I was going to say that you will have a fat chance convincing your father and brother to let you throw this thing."

"Oh, I beg to differ," I smiled, "My father knows I need to be making moves. I know I can convince him if I try."

"Hey!"

It was Kai yelling out toward me, "Where do you get off leaving this note in my locker?"

Before he could dump the note in front of me, Yeremy had already stepped between us. I had no idea where he had come from but he had a murderous look in his eyes.

"Oh yeah," Kai laughed, "Get your little boyfriend to fight for you," he looked at Yeremy, "Don't you know this slut was all over Roman?"

I stood up moving in front of Yeremy, "Slut? Do you really think it's wise to call me names? I mean I do know your secret."

"You fucking bitch—"

"Careful," I smiled, "I only need one of your little friends. The rest of you can end up just like Roman for all I care. I have everything I need to get every single one of you expelled."

"Stop with the notes in my locker," he demanded, "Anyone could have found this and then what?"

"You know, you should really reconsider your use of performance enhancements," I sighed, "I think they make you an even bigger asshole than you already are."

He glared at me before storming off across the quad.

I left that note in his locker but I hadn't expected this kind of reaction. I knew he'd be mad but he looked way too heated just like in the janitors closet.

I might need to remove him. Out off all of the boys he is the closest to Roman and he will be the most difficult to turn.

"Lana, was that true?" Rose asked, "He uses steroids?"

"I mean, did you really think he was that good on the field without them?" I laughed a bit, "He's been using them for about a year. It's why he gets into so many fights."

I turned around to talk to Yeremy but he had already disappeared again. I sighed before sitting down.

"Whats wrong with you two?"

I shook my head, "It's nothing."

"It's not nothing," she insisted, "You're frowning. You pout, you scowl, you sneer, but you never ever frown. So, what's wrong?"

"Yeremy has decided to put some distance between us," I said begrudgingly, "Now he acts like I barely even exist unless it's to protect me like just now with Kai."

"Distance?" Rose furrowed her brows, "Did he say why?"

"Only that we needed to develop more of a professional relationship moving forward, he told me that he couldn't continue being what he was to me," I rolled my eyes at the memory, "He has one foot out the door if you ask me. That's why he's acting like this."

"How do you know that? He can't just stop working for your father," Rose shook her head, "They'll kill him."

"No, no," I said, "That was the deal. My father is supposed to help him regain control of his late fathers drug organization in Russia and in exchange Yeremy would do whatever he wanted until my father found a list of people."

"I see," Rose nodded, "But it still begs the question, how you know all of this?"

I smiled, "I was snooping."

________
Yeremy

Honestly I didn't have a lot of time. I was absolutely cutting it close, I knew that.

I didn't want to be late, I hated to be late and if I waited too long then we'd miss our one shot, but this just couldn't go unanswered.

I had dropped Lana home nearly and hour ago before returning back to the school. I knew he had practice and he was going to come out soon.

Anger ignited all over my skin every time I thought about that way he came at Lana today in the courtyard. Was he insane?

Sure she had fucked with his life a bit, but he was too aggressive, too violent and that simply couldn't go unanswered. She was just a girl.

It was another ten minutes before I finally saw him walking out with his teammates. They stood there talking for what felt like eternity before he finally made his way over to his car alone.

I walked over to his car just as his friends were out of eyesight.

"Oh, don't tell me," he threw his hands up watching me walk over, "You're here to defend that little sluts honor."

He laughed, "Dude, you need to get your priorities straight."

"And you need to watch your mouth," I said, closing the gap between us, "You're lucky I don't kill you right now."

"Kill me?" he smiled, "You can't be serious. All this for her? Sure she's hot but she's just a fucking bitch—"

He choked on his words as I punched him in the throat with my right hand before knocking his head on the roof of his car with my left causing him to slip onto the ground with a thud. I wanted his ears to ring.

Fuck that, I wanted them to bleed.

There was a cut forming at the edge of his hairline and blood was beginning to trickle down his forehead.

I crouched down onto the ground, grabbing his face with my hand, "I thought I told you to watch your mouth."

His eyes narrowed, "Fuck you."

I banged him into the car again, making sure his nose received the brunt of it. He cried out in pain before I let him go.

"You don't ever talk to Lana like that again. You understand?" I took the gun out of the back of my jacket and pointed it under his chin, "You have no idea who it is you're messing with."

His eyes widened and the blood drained from his face and spewed from his nose, "Hey, man. Wait a minute—"

"Shut up," I rolled my eyes, "I'm not going to kill you, not yet. I need you to deliver the same message to your little friends. I don't care how much you hate that girl. I don't even care if despise her. I will kill each and every one of you if you disrespect her ever again."

I pressed my gun harder into his flesh, "Do you understand me?"

"Yes," he said desperately, holding his breath.

I smiled, putting the gun back, "Good."

I stood up as he touched his wounds lightly, finally exhaling.

How pathetic.

I looked down at the time grateful that I still had twenty minutes to spare before I had to meet Dmitri.

We were capturing Aileen Callahan today and we didn't have any time to spare if we were going to do this right.

Everything had to be perfect if we wanted to actually pull this off.

I wasn't going to mess that up for this asshole.
