Lana

It had been at least a day and a half since I had seen anyone outside of the woman that helped me pee and fed me.

I contemplated killing her multiple times but she was so old and I had nothing to do it with either way. I thought maybe once they moved me to this building I could find something, but there was only a bed in here.

I took a deep breath, holding onto the hope that my family would find me. If there was one thing they were good at it was finding people.

They might not have found Petyr but outside of that, their track record was flawless.

They'd find me, I knew they would.

"My love!" Petyr entered the room excitedly.

I could see exactly what Manuel was talking about. He had an awful blue and black bruise on his forehead from where I had thrown the gun.

I had left scratches across his cheek and over and under his eyelid.

If only I had scratched the entire thing out.

Was this happening now?

There was a man behind him as he untied me, "You know I considered waiting until we were married to consummate our relationship but I've waited long enough, don't you think?"

I didn't say a word. I'd save all my energy right now into fighting him. I didn't care about anything else. I'd rather die.

The second the ropes dropped from my hands I stood up but before I could start he punched me. It caught me so off guard that I stumbled to the ground.

Sitting for nearly two days had destroyed any strength I had in my muscles and I hadn't slept since the day I was taken. I was afraid of sleeping so I had stayed awake the whole time.

I didn't truly realize how much of a disservice that had done me.

He grabbed me by the arm and tossed me on the bed, "I hope you don't mind my friend. He likes to watch and I kind of owe him."

Fear began to take hold as I started to kick and punch wildly. I wasn't even aiming at anything anymore, I was just throwing my limbs at him hoping one would connect hard enough to kill him, but that was a mistake.

The fatigue clouded my judgment and he pinned me down easily, crushing me with his body.

I should have aimed for his eyes, pierce them with my thumbs. I wasn't thinking. I was a fool.

He smiled at me as I began to cry. I didn't want to give him the satisfaction but I couldn't help it. All of this was for nothing because I was too stupid to remember to go for the eyes.

I sobbed as he ran his hands over my thighs, ripping off my skirt.

"Svetlana, you are even more beautiful than what I remembered."

I screamed in his face, trying to push him off to no avail. I was so disgusted and so scared and my senses felt so fuzzy.

I could see everything, him. His eyes were imprinted in my head.

I screamed at him as he brought his lips down onto my skin.

"I'm going to fucking kill you!"

"Don't be like that," he shook his head, "Just relax."

It was over wasn't it? I had lost.

We didn't waste anytime talking once the car had arrived outside the building. There was nothing left to say.

We all knew why we were there and we had no time to waste.

Dmitri stepped out of the car first, moving quickly and killing everyone in his sight without wasting a breath. I followed behind. Yeremy who was killing whoever was left over.

I had tried to convince the boy to stay in the hospital but it was futile once we got the call from Sergey.

Yakov knew exactly where they were holding Lana so I let him keep one of his hands for now. I still planned on killing him once I found my daughter.

I could see the demeanor in my son change once her screaming started, his shoulders losened and he followed the screaming, still killing everyone in his wake.

Yeremy matched his pace as I followed ensuring no one was behind us.

Dmitri reached the room first and by the time I stepped over the dead man in the doorway, he had Petyr by the throat against the wall, choking him.

"You sick son of a bitch," he squeezed his throat, "What did I tell you?"

Before I could even reach my daughter she had already jumped in to Yeremy's arms sobbing in his neck as he covered her with his shirt.

I didn't know what state she was in but it seemed as if we came before anything happened.

"Shh," Yeremy soothed her, running his hands over her hair, "You're safe now. I've got you."

I moved to Dmitri, putting a hand on his shoulder, "Trust me, my son. We want him to die much slower than this."

Dmitri's face barely registered that he heard me before he let Petyr go and turned to Lana.

I punched Petyr ensuring he was well and knocked out before turning to Yeremy and Dmitri, who was crouched down running his hand down Lana's back.

She had stopped crying by the time we got to the car, but still she clung to Yeremy for dear life. I suppose that made sense. They were close now.

I could see the relief in his eyes as he held her closely, his arms wrapped around her protectively, instinctively.

I entrusted Iosef to take Petyr to a discreet location in a separate car before having Boris drive us to a hospital.

"Lana," Dmitri said gently.

She poked her head up at him, her cheek was red, "We're going to take you to the hospital, okay?"

Lana gave him a small nod before tucking herself back into Yeremy.

I tried to meet his eyes to see if could somehow indicate how she was doing but he wasn't looking at anything but her.

His eyes were so fixated on her that aside from blinking she was the only thing he saw. It was as if he was taking in every single one of her features for a mental inventory.

I looked at Dmitri to see if he noticed but the only thing I saw in those eyes was murder.

I kissed the top of his head, before whispering in his ear, "Trust me, you'll have your chance."
