Yeremy

There was only one period I didn't sit next to Lana and that was History. On the first day of class, Roman practically tripped over himself to sit next to her.

So I ended up sitting right behind them and I could unfortunately hear everything.

"So when can I take that raincheck?" he asked her.

Lana was taking down notes in her notebook like she did every class. Normally she'd flirt with him back but this time she didn't even look up from her notebook when she replied, "I don't think you'll have the time, Roman."

A look of confusion spread across his face and before he could question her the Headmistress was outside the door with a security guard right behind her.

"Roman," she pointed at him, "Come with me."

Lana smiled at him once he stood up from his desk, "See you soon."

Once the scene in the doorway was gone, I inched close to Lana and kicked her chair, "What the hell was that? What did you do?"

"Just give me a second—"

As soon as the word left her lips, the bell rang and she practically shoved all her stuff in her bag before darting out the room as I struggled to keep up with her.

"This isn't the way to our lockers—"

"Shush," she grabbed my arm, pulling me to the window and pointed at the scene at the end of the hall.

Roman was standing with his hands in his pockets as the security guard stood beside him. The Headmistress was instructing the janitor to open up Roman's locker with a pair of bolt cutters.

"Watch," Lana instructed, a devious smiled painted on her perfect glossed lips, "You're about to witness greatness, Yeremy."

The security guard shuffled through his locker eventually pulling out a folder that made the blood drain from Roman's face.

The Headmistress took one look inside the folder before shaking her head and instructing the security guard to escort Roman to her office.

"Do you know what that is?"

Lana nodded, her lips still curled into a smile, "Of course I do. I put it there."

"What is it?"

"It's the answers to the Calculus test," she said, "Roman is about to be expelled."

"This was your plan?" I raised my eyebrows, "It's a little harsh."

"Maybe," she shrugged, "But he shouldn't have tried to use me. He made himself an enemy and there is only one thing to do with enemies."

"Obliterate them," I finished.

It was something Mikhail often said to me while teaching me. Although he didn't have to teach it to me, by the time he found me I had already wanted to do just that.

"There is a break coming up," I started, "I'm sending you back to Russia."

"Already?" he asked, his eyebrows raised.

"It was always apart of our deal that I would help you kill these men," I started, "I had imagined that it would be after my daughter was safe but it doesn't appear to be working out that way."

"I see," he nodded, "So I'll be gone for the two weeks?"

"Yes," I said, "You are going to have to kill all of them as fast as possible. Once one of them goes down they will know you're coming so you must maintain your advantage while over there. I'll be sending you with Evgeny and Brutus, they are instructed to help you."
