Sakura stared at the pile of four-tied teenagers. The youngest of them balled their eyes out while the other three kept up a tough facade - though they sucked at it.

"You're joking, right?" She said in disbelief, She heard Naruto groan and palm his face beside her.

The four of them were faking, It was only a group of room immature delinquents pretending to be related to the Ōtsutsuki clan.

Sakura had wasted damn near a week to get to where she was now only for it to be a false report.

"This was my fault, I should have scouted the place last night..." Sasuke frowned.

"No..." She shook her head, placing a hand on her hip. "It was mine, I shouldn't have distracted you last night."

Naruto furrowed his brows, staring at the tied-up kids before folding his arms. "Wouldn't that mean that there are still members of the Ōtsutsuki clan out there?"

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know... but why would a group of teenagers even pretend to be a part of the Ōtsutsuki clan in the first place if they didn't know more about it?"

"That being said... why would they know that much about the Ōtsutsuki clan for the information to be so accurate if it's not even in books yet?"

The hideout went dead silent, even the sobbing kid went quiet. A high pitch squealing caused the three of them to wince.

"S-Shit! What the hell!" Naruto covered his ears, the throbbing pain sent him reeling.

One of the kids' jaws stretched, neck-snapping before their body bloated widely.

"Get back!" Sasuke shouted over the whining, but the other two didn't budge. The second kid followed the first, and the temperature around them rose drastically.

"Shit!" He grabbed both of their shoulders and flickered away, just before the third one bloated as well.

They flickered a mile away, Sakura uncovered her ears.

"The hell was that-"

"Duck!" Naruto tugged them both to the ground.

They hid behind a rock, the massive explosion caused nearby trees to loosen themselves from their roots and some flew away.

Sakura grunted from the dirt blowing in her eyes, and once it cooled down they rose from the rock.

"They killed themselves, suicidal ninjutsu. Perhaps to get us caught in it too. Reminds me of Deidara." Sasuke patted the dirt off his cloak.

Sakura rose her eyebrow. "So... a more screwed up version of Sai's old curse?"

"Technically."

The remains of the hideout were demolished, they were lucky if they found parts of it that only turned out scorched.

"Damnit!"

Naruto winced at her shout, feeling a sense of guilt for the tree next to her as it collapsed to the ground.

"I wanted to find at least one item of relevance to make going to this hideout worth it! But everything is burnt or demolished!"

The tents were nothing but ashes, the four important suspects were dead, and they gained zero information about the Ōtsutsuki.

She wasn't as interested in the mission itself, but she couldn't help but feel like a failure.

"We still know one thing, Sakura. They were related to the Ōtsutsuki, but not the way we originally thought they were." Sasuke's voice calmed her out of her temper.
