Transferring classes was the best decision Denki had made since coming to UA and it had only been a day. Her new classmates showed up bright and early the day before to help her pack, move, and unpack her things. Then they settled into the common room for junk food and gave her the rundown on the way Vlad King teaches and what not to do to avoid pushing his buttons. It turned into gossip and board games that went on long enough Vlad had to break up the gathering so they could get some sleep before class the next day.

Denki had laid in her bed smiling so wide her face hurt thinking about how no one had made a mean joke or comment about her intelligence when she had to ask them to repeat themselves because of her Auditory Processing Disorder. None of them asked her to charge a phone or talked over her the entire time. All of her comments were taken seriously instead of brushed off as "Kaminari being Kaminari."

That morning, her heart was pounding when she put on her new uniform. She felt more comfortable in it than she ever had in the boy's uniform, that didn't stop her from feeling like she couldn't breathe from the fear of being ridiculed. By the time she made it downstairs, after carefully applying makeup and styling her hair, her hands were shaking and she was seconds from throwing up.

Then she entered the kitchen to get some breakfast and she was surrounded by cheers and excited squealing. Kendo complimented her eyeliner and Pony said she looked better than anyone in the class in the skirt. Komori asked permission to touch her before helping fix her hair and it was weird to have her space and autonomy respected, weird but nice.

When they left for class, she was feeling a lot better. It didn't hurt that Monoma had told her she "looked good enough to represent their class" and Shinso had winked when they said she looked better in the skirt than they did. There were some looks as she walked down the halls with her new class, but Kendo and Tetsutetsu stepped in front of anyone who tried to approach her.

Vlad had gone over every accommodation regularly offered by UA to people with her disabilities with her to make sure all her accommodations were the best for her and classes were already better. She didn't get any looks or snickers when a teacher redirected her attention or asked if she needed a short break during class and when they split into groups in English no one said their group was full or gave her the easiest work.

At lunch Midoriya, who told Denki they were feeling very they that day, sat next to her and talked with Shinso about heroes they both liked. Denki joined in when they discussed heroes she was a fan of and in between, she harassed Monoma about his weird, rich boy food tastes. Afternoon classes flew by and it wasn't until the walk back to the dorms that she realized she hadn't thought about her old friends once.

Unfortunately, the reason she realized that was because she had to run past them on her way to jump on Midoriya's back. Denki wrapped her legs around her friend's waist and her arms around their neck so she could drop her chin on top of their curls. Midoriya, the tiny wall of muscle that they are, didn't miss a step. They just wrapped their hands around her knees to keep her from falling and laughed as they said, "Hello to you too Kaminari."

She giggled into their hair, "I forgot at lunch that I have a present for you."

"And you needed to be on my back to give it to me?"

She could hear the barely contained laughter in the question and hummed like she was thinking about it. "Well, you look like you give great piggy back rides and my legs are just soooo tired." Denki emphasized her tiredness by slumping down to rest her entire body against Midoriya's back and head, her cheek resting on those fluffy green curls.

Her friend couldn't contain it anymore, their laughter shaking the both of them so much Denki would have been dislodged if Midoriya didn't have such a strong grip. Todoroki, who had been walking next to Midoriya, had a small smile on his face as well. "Hello, Kaminari. I heard about what happened over the weekend while I was visiting my siblings and mother. I want you to know I support you and if you need money for clothes or hormones or surgery, I know all my father's bank information. I will also set transphobes on fire."
