 Chapter 2 ~ New Friends

_____________________________________________________________________

I finished shoving all of my clothes into my dresser drawers and placing all of my belongings in their correct places. It had been 17 minutes since I have been here, and I have already adjusted to the room. The only thing that bothers me is whether or not I will have a roommate. I mean there is another closet and dresser. But, I am kind of hoping that I will get this room to myself, that will make living here a lot more easier.

Right now I am laying down on my bed and am admiring how bouncy and fluffy it is. Just the way I like it. I rolled over in my belly and reached my arms over the edge so that I could open my backpack and get my diary. It is my diary, but I also document dances that I have choreographed in here as well. It was almost full, and I need to get a new one, but I am going to wait until I finish it first.  I open to a fresh new page and begin to write:

September 5, 2013

Dear diary,

So I am here at the Boarding School of New York, or BSNY. Creative name huh? It is not a bad place actually. I met the Principle, Principle Stanford, I guess he is nice. But I did not meet any of the teachers or students yet, I wonder if they are all as nice as he is. I really hope so. I do not think that I could stand living around people that nag you all the time. I never did, so I do not know what it is like, and I do not want to find out. Anyway, the dorms are pretty, and so is the rest of the buildings. It is a really beautiful facility, who ever did the interior designs has a good eye in art...

I was interrupted by the door being closed. I averted my eyes from my book to the girl standing at the door. She was shorter then me with strawberry blond hair that flowed down past her shoulders. She had big striking green eyes that were kind...and staring right at me. "Hiya!" She exclaimed while skipping to the side of the bunk-bed. "I'm Memory Lockwood, and who are you?" She extends her hand  expecting me to shake it.  "I'm Angel Black, nice to meet you!"  I say as I gladly accept her hand.  "Nice to meet you as well!  Don't you think this dorm is amazing?!"

"It is, but, every dorm is the same.  How is this one much more special if you don't mind me asking?"

"Not at all!  It is more amazing and special because we both live here now!"

"Huh, never thought about it that way before."

"Well, you have to be more opened minded if you want to notice things like I do!"

"I don't know if that is possible with me."

"I could teach you!"

"How would you teach me to be more open minded?"

"That you will have to find out if you except my offer."

"Bribery, I like your thinking."

"It always has helped me."

"I should try that."

"Yes you should."  Memory scanned the room once more before plopping down on the bed next to me and sighed.  Her eyes have not moved form one particular spot in the middle of the room.  I was confused about why she has not moved until I diverted my eyes once more to where her green orbs were fixed.  There, sitting in the middle of the room was at least ten large suit cases that were untouched.  "Why did you bring so much stuff?"  I asked her trying not to sound nosy or rude.  She shifted a little bit and continued to stare to the mound of luggage stacked high.  I looked at the bags and wondered why she needed so much.  When I looked back over to her, she was now looking at me.  "Sorry did you say something?"  She asked me.  Wow, I guess I didn't say it clearly enough.  "I asked you why you had so much stuff."
