Chapter 9 ~ Explanations & Jealousy
_____________________________________________________________________________
Angel walked into her English class, not bothering to look where she was going because she collided with something and fell over resulting in her books scattering everywhere. She groaned and picked herself up starting to collect her books. She did not get much sleep last night considering that Ethan and her talking to two in the morning about the "encounter".
(Flashback)
"There was a reason.. what happened on Friday night. They're coming for you." He looked at her dead in the eyes, he was serious.
"What? How did yo-"
"I know you have a lot of questions, but just let me speak for a moment." Angel shut her mouth and sat there patiently waiting for him to continue.
"There is a lot that needs explaining, and it's not easy to explain, but I have to start off saying that you need to be careful. Most importantly, you need to listen to every word I am about to tell you. Don't take any of it lightly either." She nodded, she really just wanted to know what this was all about.
"Well.. your story book, the one with the many fairy tales and fantasies that your father would read to you at night-"
Ethan was cut off when Angel spoke, "How do you know about that?"
"Please just let me finish!" He exclaims. "I knew your father, and I'm going to tell you how and why once I'm done explaining this part to you." he paused and drew in a breath, "That book.. it's not just a book with fairy tales, those stories, they are all real. They all happened, but all those stories are not important right now, the only one that is important is the very last one." Got stopped and got up walking to his dresser and opened the top drawer, he shuffled through the drawer occasionally tossing some clothes out trying to search for this unknown idem. He finally pulled out what he was looking for and quickly came back to the bed and handed it to her.
Angel ran her fingertips over the top of it realizing what it was. "How did you get this?" She said in a whisper still running her fingers over it gazing and the fine letters printed across the front. 'Fairy Tales'.
"Your father gave me that book before he died, he told me that it was time for you to know." He said softly.
Angel looked up at him, he had the most sincere face she has ever seen. He was looking down at the book in her lap not noticing her studying his face.
"I want you to open it, to the last story. I want you to read it out loud." She nodded in response and opened the book, to the very last story, 'The Black Nightmare Angel'
She began to read, "Many years ago, in the ages of which there was no sense of time, walked a living nightmare to all. Never has there ever been such a repulsive, undesirable monster then this. He was a relative of Satan himself, he was the devil's own son.
His red hot skin scorched the sun. The bright yellow, illuminated eyes could pierce any soul. His claws so raw and defined ripped apart anything in his way. Fangs fell from his fire obsessed mouth held an unnatural color of yellow. Towering over 300 feet, the monster would decimate anyone who braved his battle. Even his name made people ill at the sound of it, his name was Iblis.
No one could defeat Iblis, not even with the most strongest and trustworthy of weapons. This made people grieve and want to die for there own safety. But there was a prophecy proclaiming that there was only one that would tare down the menacing beast. One with incredible abilities that not one human possessed. One that took down Iblis's father once before and trapping him in the underworld. This savior for all of man kind was named the Black Nightmare Angel.-'"
