Chapter 4

--- It's morning, and the two just woke up---

Eda woke up and noticed Raine was still asleep (or she thought so) with their arms around her waist. She tried to get up, but Raine pulled her down and laid her beside them, hugging her. "Rainstorm! I have to get up. Luz and King are probably already awake. I have to make them breakfast!". "No, mine." They said sleepily. Eda chuckled at their response. "Aww, come on. We have to get up it's already 8:30!" She said. "Please, five more minutes.". "You've slept the same as me. Come on, don't exaggerate. You can't be that tired." Eda said. "Awww ok fine. I'll wake up."

Raine and Eda went down the stairs and saw King and Luz watching mewtube on Luz's phone. "FINALLY, you guys are up. Good morning." Luz said. "Good morning, Luz." Eda and Raine said at the same time. "Hello King," Eda added,"Good morning," he said back. "Hello, king," Raine said. "You guys must be hungry. Alright, who wants breakfast." Eda said, full of energy. "Me!" Luz and King said at the same time.

"Can I go with Amity today, Eda?" Luz said while munching on a griffin egg." Yeah, sure. Just make sure to come home before 8, ok?" Eda said. "Ok, thanks!" King jumped onto Eda's shoulder and then onto her hair, "Can I go with her?" He said. "Ok, King, but you must not, under any circumstances, leave Luz's side. Do you understand?". "Sounds good," he said. They finished eating breakfast. "Bye, Eda." Luz said while walking through the door. "Bye. Have a nice afternoon with your girlfriend." Eda said.

The door closed, and Raine turned to Eda."Eda, how the HECK do you manage to raise two children all on your own?!" They said. Eda let a small laugh before answering them. " I don't have to do much. They care for themselves, and I only have to watch over them. It's not that hard." "NOT THAT HARD!? Do you KNOW what you are saying?!" They raised their voice. "Is it so unbelievable? After all, I am the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles," She said, giving Raine a playful punch in the shoulder.

They went with her to her room and jumped in bed because they were both really tired from that night. They cuddled with her under the blanket."What did I do to deserve you?" Raine said,"the most beautiful woman in the Boiling Isles is my girlfriend, and she deserves someone better." Eda hugged Raine tightly.

"What the fuck are you saying?" She said." I have the best partner I could ever ask for," "Thank you, love." Raine said, giving Eda a kiss on the forehead. Eda kissed them. Her lips were softer than a pillow. It seemed like the whole world around them had stopped. When Eda broke the kiss, she gently rested her forehead against Raines. They both had a smile on their face.

"Well, what do you want to do?" Eda asked Raine. "I don't know. What do you want to do?" They said back. "I don't know, that's why I'm asking you, dummy." They both started to laugh. "Do you want to have lunch?" They said. "Ok. I am pretty hungry." Eda said. "What do you have to eat?" Raine asked. "I'm not sure, but I think I have some instant noodles. You want some?" Eda asked. "Ok." They answered.

--- After eating ---

"Do you want to go out? Like to the park?" Raine asked Eda, hoping she said yes to have a chance to go out with her. "I like the idea. Are you gonna change? Like, I'm not saying you don't look good already, but if you want to change, I can lend you some clothes." Eda said. "I think I'm going to go out with this, but thank you anyway.". "Ok, let's go!" She said.

"I love the smell of fresh grass," Eda said as they went through the gate to enter the park. "Let's sit on that bench." Raine said while pointing to a bench under a tree. They sat down, and Eda sat down next to them. They put an arm around Eda, and she rested her head on Raine's shoulder. Raine looked at her and thought to themselves," She is the most wonderful person I have ever met." Eda then said without looking at them," I can feel you looking at me, you know?" As she said that, Raine quickly took their hand away from Eda and tuned their head to face away from her.
