Y/N's POV

Another dead end, huh? I dejectedly make my way out of the hallway, which had nothing of use. I walk back out and turn to my left. I saw this door quite a while ago, but I didn't go in for one reason.

The humming.

It's the same humming that I heard from inside the elevator. Same voice, and the same song. I don't trust it...but every hallway I went down was a dead end so far. This is my last option, unfortunately. Putting on a brave face, I enter the new room...and immediately lose all the confidence I had faked.

She's just as tall as those monsters I had been seeing for years now. Except I don't see any part of her that's deformed. The only thing that's odd is the fact that she wears a white mask, hiding her face.

That and the many dolls scattered in the room...

Slowly, I crouch behind her, making my way to the other side of the room. Thankfully, I didn't knock over one of her dolls and die on the spot, so I consider that mission a success!

Once I don't see her anymore, I stand back up cautiously.

I quietly sigh. I just want to find the exit to this place, but it just seems to be getting further and further from my grasp.

I look around the new room, trying to know what situation I've gotten myself into now.

There's a large staircase in the middle of the room which then splits off a little towards the left and right sides. The brown railing just ties it all together. I look up a bit more, just to see around 3 floors all to the same room.

This is gonna be a puzzle, isn't it?

Deciding to save the stairs for later, I walk towards the back door all the way to the right. I slowly open it, ignoring the loud creaking noise it made while doing so. Inside was a simple, empty room. The floor was a checker pattern, and in the middle of the room was a large stand containing a very small statue. Its head seems to have broken off somewhere, but I doubt it's important.

I look around a bit more, noticing that some of the checkered patterns have dents in them. About the size of the statue, now that I look at them more closely.

Maybe there are more small statues around this place? I guess it would be worth a check.

I make my way back out of the room, and back into the grand staircase room. Not seeing any statues just laying about, I decided to go up the staircase. When I finally made it to the top, I noticed a bright light shining down from above, bringing attention to a large painting on the wall, framing that masked lady.

It's a bit unsettling, but I try not to dwell on it. It's just a painting. The real one's the thing I'm worried about.

I go to the right a bit and notice another door up here. It's dark in here, isn't it? Deciding to turn on my newly acquired flashlight, I scan the room. It actually looks like a personal library. Small in size, but the books are everywhere. Unsurprisingly, they're almost bigger than my entire body.

Surely there's something in this room, like a statue or something. I crouch down to look at one of the books laying on the floor. Wait, is this a symbol? It looks like a triangle on its spine, but glowing a bit.

I look back over towards the bookcases. Sure enough, there are some other books lined up with triangles on their spines. Missing one book to complete the lineup.

I pick up the really heavy book and slowly but surely make my way over toward the bookcase. Once there, I slide the book that was in my hands into the open slot. I hear a clicking sound to my right, but nothing happened. Maybe I need to do more than this?

Why can't I just have a break from all the puzzles for once...

I scan the room once more and spot another book with a symbol leaning up against the bookshelf. Aha! This has to be it! I walk over to it and pick it up, struggling not to drop it again.

Carefully, I slide it into another line of books with the same symbol. I hear another clicking sound. I look over to my left, and sure enough...there was a whole hidden room behind the bookshelves!

Wait, that's actually kind of cliché...

ANYways, let's see what lies in here! I enter the dusty room, holding in a sneeze in the process. Does she not go in here often?

In the middle of the room on the top of a table lies what I have been waiting for. A statue!

Wait, how do I get up there...
