It has been a week since the breakup and you have been super busy with work. You haven't had time to hang out with the guys or even Namjoon. He called you the night the breakup happened. He sounded so upset over the phone but wouldn't go into detail on what was said, only they broke up and he gave back her stuff. You wanted to press more on the topic but you could hear the anger in his voice. You've heard him angry more times this past year then you have knowing him.

As much as you wanted to hang out with your friends and Namjoon, your work has been your best friend the past few days. You and Randy started having dinners together since you were both busy with work. You two got to know each other even more, telling each other your personal lives. He talked about his home back in the States. He mentioned his college, how he met his wife, where they had their wedding. He even talked about the different ex's he has had. Making you bring up your ex's and the weird predicament that you are in now.

"When are you two supposed to hang out again?" Randy asked when you were both at dinner recently.

"I'm hoping soon, he is busy with work and clearly, I'm too. We text every day but we need to talk about the whole dating thing."

"I'm sure it will work out, don't stress over it. Also, if it doesn't, keep him as a friend." You look at him confused, "You can take my advice or not but the both of you have known each other for way too long to throw everything away. If he decides it's not a good idea, you accept it and move on. Because it is better to have him as a friend, in your life, then not having him in your life at all."

You sat across the table, spoon in your hand, taking in Randy's words. You know it would hurt like hell but you know he is right.

The next few days have been like any other day, you wake up early to work out then eat breakfast and prepare yourself for the day. You always have a good morning text from Namjoon but not today, making your heart sink. He probably isn't awake yet. So, you sent him a good morning text with a kissing emoji.

You went to work and every time a text message came through, you would smile thinking it was him,  but it turns out to be your other friends or your parents. You start to wonder the worse. Maybe he got back with Nuri?  Is the last thought which pops into your head, making your heart be disappointed. Your mind instantly scolding you for thinking in such a way.

Later in the day after the game was over, you wrote your last word, sending it to your editor. You pack up your belongings and head out with Randy, thankful the day is over but a sick feeling starts to form in your stomach because Namjoon has not sent a message all day. Randy notices there is a problem by the look on your face.

"Well, have you guys talked yet?" he asks breaking up the silence.

"No, he hasn't reached out all day."

"Maybe he's been busy?"

"Yeah, that's what I keep telling myself..." there is a sad tone in your voice when you explain to Randy it sucks not hearing from him especially since you guys started talking again.

"What does he do, if you don't mind me asking,"

You nervously bit your bottom lip, unsure if you want to tell him who he is because ex-friends, who found out in the past, would bug you about them. Hence them being ex-friends, but you and Randy have shared so much over the past few weeks, he is like a big brother now.

"Well...you might know them; He is in this group...this group called BTS..." you trail off, cringing.

"Wait, what?"
