Mat's POV / Chapter 10

I hang up the phone and walk inside.

"Everything alright?" Alice asks.

"Yeah just have to deal with Lo...someone." I answer not wanting to mention Lola.

"Okay..."

"I think I better get going." I don't want to but I can't stay here all night.

"Okay I'll walk you out." Alice says with a smile.

As we reach the door I turn around and face Alice. "Thanks for the dinner. It was great."

"Anytime." She says smiling. Far she's hot.

I turn around awkwardly not sure if to hug her or not. I just keep walking out the door and to my house.

Dads still not home so I decide to make dinner for him and put it in the oven.

As I start to make my dads dinner I hear a knock at the door.

I open the door and see Alice.

"Hey sorry to bother you but you left your jacket on the chair."

"Sorry, thanks for that."

"No problem. Smells nice in here, was my dinner not filling enough." She laughs and I join her.

"No, it's for my dad. Would you like to help?" Why did I just ask her? Gosh she's gonna think I'm a weirdo or something.

"Yeah sure, I'll just text my mum to tell her." She answers surprisingly saying yes.

"Uh..okay great I'll be in the kitchen." I say to her and walk in the kitchen.

A few seconds pass and Alice joins me in the kitchen.

"So what are we making today 'Chef Mat'." She asks laughing and I join her.

"Penne Pasta and rocket salad Miss Alice." We both fall in to laughter and start cooking.

We make small talk during our cooking, I figured I had to get to know her more.

We finish cooking and Alice walks to the door.

"Thanks for helping, that was fun." I say and give her a hug...finally.

"Any time, see you tomorrow."

"Ah yeah about tomorrow..do you uh..want to walk to the bus stop together?" I ask nervously.

"Sure I'll meet you outside your house at around 7:30?" She answers...thankfully saying yes.

"Okay sounds good." I add and she walks out the door waving her hand one last time.
