Asper was not surprised to find someone staring at him, he's pretty sure it was Fresh's fault- with that mischief look fresh had on his face a few days ago sometime after their talk with each other then...

Yeah he's not surprised if fresh wanted to speed things up on them confronting him, but still, they could have been more subtle about it.

Since reaper was currently staring at him with a curious look on his face...

Asper held back a sigh, "hello reaper, is there anything I can help you with?"

Reaper titled his head, " I'm not surprised dad nor my brother has realized it. They don't deal with souls like yours. But..you've died before, haven't you?"

Asper paused a bit and glanced around before motioning for reaper to follow him as he headed off somewhere a whole lot more private.

A few minutes later and Asper did not have to worry about anyone eavesdropping on the two of them.

"So you can feel that?" Asper responded back now that the two were alone with no threat of anyone overhearing.

"Well yes, it doesn't happen often but I've felt it enough times to recognize it and to know if they remember or not. Not a lot of them do. But you feel more...like gaster then whoever you had been..so your still gaster, especially since you've accepted it and I think you merged together..hmm" reaper mumbled a bit, some of it to himself as he put one hand under his chin.

Asper blinked a few times at that, "well I never had any memories from before waking up alive again. So I wouldn't know. But yes, I did die before. It's why I don't remember my age here."

"Understandable." Reaper nodded at that, accepting the answer, he's met two that didn't have any memories of their current life before waking up.

Reaper is pretty sure now though, that whoever Asper was before, did reincarnate as a swap gaster but had no memories until a certain point and the memories from before either faded, or became locked.

It's happened once or twice after All, so he won't be too surprised if that's what happened to, it would make sense on why Asper just feels like a regular gaster to him, even though Asper is not a regular gaster.

Especially with that act of his. When will he drop it? He doesn't know, maybe he'll ask?

"So when will you drop the mask? I can tell when people are acting or lying." Reaper mentioned.

Asper shrugged, "depends if anyone else confronts me with more then one of you. Fresh already did. Now you did. But if they group up and confront me, maybe I'll drop it."

Reaper hummed at that, curious as to what fresh and Asper talked about when fresh confronted Asper.

"Hmm aright, but don't be surprised if I help move things along quicker." Reaper chuckled, a bit amused now.

"That's fine, I don't exactly mind." Asper responded back.

Reaper was just amused, his dad wasn't exactly a death god like he or his brother is. But he's still not surprised they didn't feel anything off or anything else about Asper.

After all, who would suspect reincarnation? Besides, he doesn't tell them anything about what he does, let alone about all the souls he reaps anyways. So why should he even mention reincarnation? No, it doesn't happen often, besides it's not like they need to worry about it anyways.

Reaper handles all violent souls or violent deaths, he handles all reincarnation- or reincarnated souls, he handles the weird souls, he deals with immortals, he deals with all souls his brother doesn't.

The only souls grim deals with are the more peaceful souls that passed in their sleep. Or those who had been at peace while dying.

The few exceptions being papyrus's, gaster's, and sans's. Those souls he deals with, unless they were very much peaceful and no hint of being upset at anything. Because sometimes, even peaceful souls or those at peace can suddenly become angry, or violent, or even become a wandering spirit or revengeful spirit, but it's usually only specific souls he has to worry that might end up like that.

So he usually takes care of those souls too, even if they died peacefully or at peace. Those souls can become unpredictable sometimes.

Best to not let his brother handle it when he's such a more peaceful death god.

Besides, he's way more used to it anyways, he has been for centuries. Meh, besides, he wouldn't sell out another reincarnated soul like himself. Though, his was more of he reincarnated back as himself after dying in a different multiverse.

Meh, things will be fine anyways. Reincarnation or not, besides, reincarnated or even transported people or monsters got to stick together, even if he's not too sure if he counts when he ended up back as himself anyways even if it's another multiverse.

Well at least this time he's not a deity...on second thought maybe he should have done a more...better check then he did back then...oh well.

Asper just hummed as he watched reaper just thinking with a thoughtful expression on his face, curious as to know what reaper was thinking about but didn't say anything yet...

"Well, I won't sell you out anyways, death buddies got to stick together, if you know what I mean." Reaper flashed a finger gun at Asper who blinked a few times before his eye sockets widen.

Eh? No way, another reincarnated? Or maybe a transported? Huh, who knew he would meet another one, especially in his current life time. Now things are a whole lot more interesting now, Asper thought briefly to himself as reaper got more comfortable in the air.

Things are definitely probably going to get weird...

Yes- reaper is a reincarnation- but of another version of himself that was a deity over death and some other things. No he's not someone else, he's just reaper sans, from another multiverse who was a deity over death. The multiverse he was from was..hmm different.

So when death- aka reaper sans- reincarnated as another version of himself but when he was first 'born'. So no he didn't kill another version of him or merge with another version of him, he was the one that popped up when being 'born'.

How gods are 'born' is different. Just popping into existence- the older ones, take in the younger ones and teach them. Like how a god version of gaster did with reaper and grim. So he pretty much became their dad, or possible older brother figure or something.

Reaper just calls him dad. Some things about this explanation may change- warning you now so read this fully and carefully. If it does change- at the bottom it will tell you if it changed or not.
