Book battle

"Soooo what is your gender asper?" Ink asked randomly out of nowhere the next day, sometime after getting introduced with each other.

Asper blinked a few times at that, "oh! I don't have one! I'm gender apathetic. So I don't care what I'm called, as long as I know your mentioning me or talking to me, then I'll respond."

Ink blinked a few times, "that's a thing?"

Error slapped his forehead, "of course you idiot."

Error sounded annoyed as asper blinked, keeping a smile on his face.

He only meet the other three this morning after they came back..from wherever they had been at.

Fresh just chuckles a bit from where he was sitting at.

Asper's head titled, smiling almost falling down before he pulled it back up without anyone but fresh noticing.

Fresh gave asper a curious stare, head titling.

Asper just put one finger up to his mouth before he pulled it back down, fresh just gave him a thumbs up at that, fresh will ask asper what that was about later.

"So where are your kids?" Ink asked after he decided to ignore error, who then threw a book out of nowhere at him.

Ink whined a little bit as he rubbed his back of his skull, "what was that for errorrrrr..."

"For ignoring me you idiot!" Error said, looking pissed.

Ink gave error a pout, "awwww but errorrr, I just want to talk to him! Besides, his kids aren't fully grown yet, so wouldn't he still be watching over them?"

Error gave ink a scowl and flipped him off.

Asper blinked, "they are currently asleep. Besides at this time, usually we are asleep considering in our home, it would be night time. So my kids have to get used to it a bit but they are currently asleep."

Ink turned his head back at asper, curious now.

"What's your timeline like anyways?" Ink asked, since he doesn't know what timeline asper and his kids are from, they seem to be from a younger version timeline though. But which one?

Asper shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know. The others haven't said anything about their timelines and their aus, but I can guess a few possibilities on what happened. But I guess my au and timeline is currently fine...? I think..."

Ink blinked, still curious, "so I heard you forgot how old you are?"

Error three another book at ink, hitting him in the shoulder this time.

Ink whipped his head back to error with a displeased look.

Error gave ink an innocent look as he was doing something with his strings.

Inks eye sockets narrowed at error before slowly turning his head back to asper.

This time, fresh threw a book at ink before he could open his mouth, error gave fresh a surprised look.

Ink then tossed the book back at error, who hit it away.

Fresh carefully moved over to asper as ink and error decided to have a book battle.

Fresh's smile widening a little bit as he sat next to asper and started recording the battle on his phone with a slight chuckle.

Asper just looked amused by that, as most of everyone else was out of the house, working, or doing something else.

Ink let out a screech as two books hit him directly in the face, making error chuckle a little bit as he tossed another book at ink who dodged it and tossed a book at error who used his strings to catch them and throw them back.

"So your smile dropped a little earlier, what for?" Fresh whispered to asper, who shrugged.

Aspers eye sockets closed, smile widening a little bit as it felt very strained on him to keep the smile up today.

"It's nothing, nothing to worry about." Asper reassured fresh who let out a small hum as the book battle continued.

"I'm pretty sure something's off with you, something similar bruh, You hear me? Don't worry I won't say anything to anyone." Fresh mumbled a bit to himself, making sure ink and error didn't hear him as he talked with asper while recording the battle.

Asper let out a small huff, head turned away as his eye sockets opened again, smile dropped completely as he stared at nothing while ink and error continued to throw books at each other.

Then a door opened....
