Y/N POV

as the waves crashed on my back i fell still with a smile on my face, as my dad came above the water i laughed at his new seaweed hairdo

the bright lights softly pierced my eyelids as i jolted awake sitting up "calm down your in a ambulance" jerry said as i looked around i saw pony asleep "where is johnny and dally" i worriedly asked "they are in the other one" i nodded

i took a moment to look down my brunt clothes i knew i would have to throw out my bandaged arm that was still in pain, my skin that had been painted by the fire

"you guys are very brave" Jerry said interrupting my thoughts "you walked in that fire with a smile, why" he asked "i did it for them, i don't really have anything to lose i guess" pony soon woke up asking the same questions as me.

-TIME SKIP-

me and pony sat in the hospital's waiting room waiting to hear how Johnny and dal were gonna be. watching them bring them in on stretchers Johnny was unconscious while dallys eyes were closed "dally you okay" pony asked dal smirked "do i look okay, don't go around doing crazy shit okay"

as i looked at pony i knew he wanted to cry i did to but not in front of strangers so i hugged him finding comfort knowing we were dealing with the same thing

breaking apart to sit down pony got out a cigarette and started smoking it jerry came up to us soon after
talking about how he shouldn't be smoking but pony didn't care all that much "anyway your family is here to see ya a mother and couple of brothers"

pony and i leapt up running to the doors pushing them open seeing my mom standing with a look of worry and tears in her eyes all of my resentment was washed away

as i started to speed up my walk she had her arms open and as she wrapped her arms around my the facade that everything was okay was gone tears streaming down my face ruining my 'war paint' "mom i was scared i missed you i didn't know what to do" i said struggling to breathe my mom kept on patting and petting my back "shh i know it was hard for you" "mom" "hmm" im sorry" "its okay im sorry too"

-TIME SKIP-

me and pony had to answer questions from the police and the reporters but thankfully dally told them to get lost so the hospital was finally quiet. my mom had to leave because of work leaving me and the Curtis brothers alone in the waiting room soda was mocking the reporters

the nurses refused to tell us anything about johnny and dally, thankfully darry got a hold of one of the doctor and got it through the guys head that we were their only family

we figured out that dal would be okay after a couple of days in the hospital but it was dally so we knew he would be okay while on the other had Johnny's legs were broken they wouldn't know if he would be able to walk in the future or not other then that they were okay and i let out a breath i didn't know i was holding in

"hey y/n the rest of us are gonna head home you wanna come" darry asked me "i'm gonna go see dal and johnnycakes before i leave" i replied "alright you can come over if home gets lonely" i nodded in response waving goodbye

walking down the hospital hallway I thought about how I might be pushing Johnny around in a wheel chair or sitting on his lap as pony pushed his wheelchair. johnny wasn't awake so i just talked about random things and i hope that he will be okay when he wakes up

Next up was dally. Thankfully their rooms were diagonal from each other "hey y/n" he said as i sat down in the chair close to his bed "you look like shit" he said "look who's talking!" i responded "looks like we'll have matching scars" i said noticing that his arm was kinda burnt under his cast,he smiled.

"well i gotta go and get wash this muck off me, you need anything dal" i asked getting up and walking to the door "i need you to get me the hell out of here" "soon" i said in response walking out the door hearing him yell my name

A/N: I DIDN'T KILL THEM 🤪hope your happy. also i know the timeline is a little off after the second time skip but its fine
