You and Tom dated for a really long time. A decade long. After everything that happened between you and him, he decided wants out of your relationship. With both of you being A-list celebrities, it was hard to go and have a normal life after your breakup because of all the paparazzis hounding you.
To say that your relationship with Tom ended on bad terms is an understatement. He didn't want you anymore towards the end and you have proof of that because people you know sent you videos of him talking bad about you behind your back. Enough was enough.
Now, he's dating someone new; someone you used to be friends with. This girl used to be your friend and she knew Tom treated you badly, but you guessed that never stopped her in pursuing him.
You've been invited to a launching event and you heard that Tom was going to be there. "More forced quality time together. I'm thrilled!" You said sarcastically.
"I know, but it'll be good for publicity AND you can gain more followers and fans." Your manager said.
"I have over 3.5 million followers already, but for you, I'll attend the event." You told your manager to which they thanked you.
You arrived at the event and you immediately saw Tom, his girlfriend (aka your ex friend), and Harrison. Harrison immediately saw you and nudged Tom, "Y/N's here."
Tom turned to look at you and he scoffed. You internally rolled your eyes before walking towards them to say hello. A lot of reporters are there, including ET, and you have to be on your best behavior. You smiled and waved at them and when you finally reached them, none of you said a word.
"Ooh, talk about tension." Harrison said to himself before drinking his beer before looking the other way, not really wanting to be involved, but not wanting to leave and miss out on all the drama about to happen.
"Shut up, Haz." Tom said before looking at you from head to toe. "Congrats! You finally know what good taste is."
"Thanks. I've learned so much about it after getting rid of you. Turns out, you're the bad taste in my life." You smiled before turning to the girl he replaced you with. "You just really pick ANYONE these days."
"Those clothes don't suit you, honey." You told her.
She scoffed and said, "And you think they suit you?"
"Of course! Are you worried?"
"After that view that I got the other day, I ain't worried at all." She smirked, making Tom and Harrison laugh. "I'm the sweetest bitch you'll meet, but if you come for me, then you'll see a whole new side that you wouldn't have ever imagined." She added.
You rolled your eyes, not wanting to give her the time of day anymore. You turned to Tom and decided to address the thing he said about you in an interview recently.
"What was that thing you said about me on Fallon?" You asked.
Tom shrugged, "The truth."
"And what is that, exactly?"
"The truth is you have no charisma, no uniqueness, no nerve, and no talent. I honestly don't know why you're famous." Tom said.
Tom always says things that irk you, but what he said tonight struck the most because he genuinely hurt your feelings. It was embarrassing enough that everyone knows about your feud, but to humiliate you on tv? That's hurtful.
"Okay, and what made you say all those things? What did I ever do or say to you that made you say all those things about me?" You asked with a hurt expression. "It just baffles me that you have the gall to say negative things about me all the time, but I have NEVER said any negative things about you in interviews or anything like that."
"Can you chill out? It was a joke. Jimmy knew I was kidding." Tom chuckled.
"Yeah, but everyone watching doesn't know that." You pointed out.
"So?"
"So, everyone thought you were serious. Not everyone knows how you joke around. There is a way you joke and there is a way that you do things to try to rip somebody and hurt their feelings and you really, really went there with me, Tom. I didn't know you would stoop that low, so that lets me know where our friendship stands." You told him.
"You're just jealous that I keep getting asked to go back to Fallon and you don't. Jealousy is a killer in this industry, Y/N." Tom said, full of pride.
You huffed and raised your hands in surrender, "If you want to keep acting like that, fine. Go ahead. Be my guest. You and Harrison can go to hell."
"Wait- why am I involved?!" Harrison turned to you in shock and disbelief.
"You were my friend. I treated you like my brother. You didn't come to my defense when he said all those negative things about me, KNOWING that I will be hurt and offended. You could've said that Tom was just joking or you could've told him not to say all those things about me." You said.
Harrison just looks away, realizing that he took part in something he wasn't aware of.
You look between Harrison and Tom before saying your last statement, "If I don't speak to you ever again in my life, or you, I will not be lost."
