~ Chapter 6 ~

I was planning on updating yesterday but i found a fanfic on here that took all of my attention

(Y/N) POV

I'm sitting in the middle of my classroom doing my work. I like sitting in the middle, it feels comforting to know that I wasn't too far forward, or too far backward, or too close to the window, or too close to the door. I'm right in the center. As I'm doing my work, I feel a tap on my shoulder, I move my (length) hair out of the way to see who tapped me. It was Oikawa, the most popular guy in my grade. Though we're only first years, he managed to become popular super fast. He and I were somewhat close since I helped manage the boys volleyball team, and he played in it.

"What is it, Oikawa?" I ask, worried something might've happened to him or one of the volleyball boys.

"Could uh- could you come over after practice today to help with my math homework? It's really hard to me, and you seem really good at it. Please?" I let out a thankful breath that nothing happened.

I nod to him, "Of course! I'll ask my parents if I can go, but they like you, so I'm sure it'll be a yes!" I tell him, honestly.

"Awesome! Thank you so much Kageyama-chan!" He exclaims, hugging me. My face heats up a bright red, since I'm not used to boys who aren't my brother or dad hugging me. I know Oikawa is a very touchy guy, but it's still awkward for me.

"S-sure! No problem!" He lets go of the hug and goes back to his seat.

My friend group comes up to me and asks me what Oikawa and I talked about to cause him to hug me. I tell them what happens and they demanded I tell them at lunch. So, come lunch time we're gossiping on what'll happen.

"So, Kageyama, are you gonna do anything fun at Oikawa's house?" One of my friends, Sato Yuki, asks me.

"Yeah," starts off one of my other friends, Auma Koyako, starts, "Are you gonna kiss him and make him your boyfriend?"

"Auma! That's not how relationships work!" I giggle at her question, "Plus I don't even know how to kiss! But, Sato all we're doing is hanging out and studying. He kinda sucks at math. And if he wants to stay on the team, he needs good grades."

"That's so boring, Kageyama!! He totally likes you and you totally should give him the chance!!" the last girl in our group of four, Ando Kimiko, exclaims. "Plus, I totally saw your face turn bright red when he hugged you!"

"My face turned red because boys don't normally hug me! And boo hoo to him liking me! We're just studying! And that's it!!!" I tell them. I'd never have a crush on a popular guy like him.

All of the sudden it's summer time and I'm out in my pool with Auma, Sato, Ando, Oikawa, Iwaizumi, and other members of the soon-to-be middle school second years from the boy's volleyball team. We're playing Marco Polo, and Iwaizumi is it right now. We're all giggling and splashing around, trying not to get caught by Iwa. While swimming away from Iwa, I bump into Oikawa, and my face turns pink.

"Oh shoot- I'm sorry Oikawa I didn't see you there," I apologize, quietly so we don't get caught.

"It's okay since it's a cutie like you bumping into me," He flirts, but I get embarrassed and splash him in the face, alerting Iwa that there's people this direction. I quickly swim past Iwa as he catches Oikawa.

"Dang it! Kageyama-chan! You helped him find me!!" Oikawa yells in fake sadness to me.

"Oopsie daisy!" I giggle while he gets in the middle to spin around to try and catch us.
