So the practice game started and I can't see Oikawa anywhere. Isn't he supposed to be here? He's literally the captain. Well, that's good for me, I guess. More time to avoid talking to him.

Hinata is struggling worse than I thought he would. He's trying to hit balls that aren't his, receiving balls that other people have already called, and running into things. Tobio looks like he's about to kill Hinata.

"COME ON! QUIT BEING NERVOUS, OR I WILL KILL YOU!" Tobio screams. I want to go out there and scold him, but I can't right now. I hear Kindaichi and Kunimi talking about how Tobio 'hasn't changed', which upsets me. He's changed so much since middle school. Hinata being an idiot is not Tobio's fault.

And all of the sudden, Hinata's up to serve. He looks so scared. He serves the ball and it hits Tobio square in the back of his head. The ball falls to the ground giving a point and this set to Seijoh. Tobio is fuming with anger towards the short ginger. I start laughing at Tobio and Tanaka and Tsukishima follow suit laughing and poking fun at my little brother. Tanaka seemingly more light hearted in his laughter than Tsukishima. Suga and Daichi scolds us on how we need to 'not encourage it, but I'm too busy laughing to listen.

Hinata looks like he just shit himself as Tobio walks over to the poor, poor ginger.

"Look. What could you possibly be freaking out about?" He starts leaning over Hinata, "How tall those guys are? Your first practice game?" Hinata visibly sweats. Tobio raises his hand, "There can't be anything scarier than hitting me in the head with the ball," he hits the back of his head, "Right?" Hinata's sweat goes backwards back into him????

"No. That's my worst nightmare."

"Well in that case, you've got nothing left to be scared of, anymore. I mean, you've already done the most terrifying thing you can do. Which means. YOU MIGHT AS WELL GET OVER IT AND GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME, DUMBASS," Tobio yells at Hinata. It sort of feels like a pep talk, but also a scolding.

"So I'm not in trouble, then?" Hinata questions my brother.

"No. Who cares?" Tobio replies nonchalantly. He's grown up so much, I think with a single tear rolling down my cheek. Kiyoko looks at me like 'Wtf (Y/N)?' and I just grin back at her.

Tanaka gives a lecture to Hinata about how he doesn't have to be perfect already. He then asks Hinata who his favorite upperclassmen is. Hinata says Tanaka and they both seem happy for the time being. These boys are so silly.

Kindaichi and Tsukishima pick on Hinata asking him how to do the 'back of the head serve'. Hinata ignores them and the game proceeds.

Hinata and Tobio attempt a quick attack, but Tobio tossed too high. Which makes sense, like Hinata hasn't played much, so he shouldn't be able to hit a quick attack already. But they try their quick attack again and it works!! I then realize Hinata HOW hit the ball. With his eyes closed. What the fuck. I look at Kiyoko and she smiles at me like she already knew about it. Since when could rookies hit QUICK ATTACKS with their EYES CLOSED?? Tobio and I are gonna have a talk about this after the match.

The gym doors open and I see Oikawa. Well, I heard his fangirls screaming first. I hold my breath and pray to every god out there that he doesn't acknowledge me. And I spoke too soon since he sees me and tries walking over to me. I groan and avoid making eye contact with him. Tobio glares directly at him like he's trying to explode Oikawa with his mind.
