Sarah was quiet the entire time I showed her around my house. Nodding her gorgeous head every once in a while in acknowledgement. She didnt seem like she was here though. Mother shouldnt have said anything about her mother, and I will definitely be having a discussion with her about it.

"Asher, there you are!" My father came around the corner. We stood in front of my bedroom door. "And Sarah, what a lovely pleasure it is to meet you." my father put his hand out towards her. Sarah flinched, which made my blood boil. Not because it was a sign of fear towards my father, but because i knew the real reason why it would make her flinch.

"Its nice to meet you too, sir." She took his hand and gave it a quick shake. She kept her head down. Is this how she acts around her father?

"Right well, Ill leave you two alone. Asher, come see me later. We need to discuss about something with the pack regarding the local hospital." My father gave a smile to both of us and then quickly ran away.

"So uh yea and this is my bedroom." I mumbled awkwardly. I felt like a foolish teenager that got caught by his parents. My cheeks were hot as I watched Sarah look around my room. Curiosity set in her eyes. "I like to keep it kind of simple." I chuckled nervously.

"You call this simple?" She laughed as she pointed to my video game collection. One of my walls of my room held every game console, and almost every game. I was missing quite a few. "I didnt take you for such a nerd." The smile on her face made my heart swell with happiness. I wanted to see that smile everyday for the rest of my life.

"Yea well we all need a hobby or else wed be pretty bored." I scratched the back of my neck as I felt the heat from my cheeks spread across my whole face and down my neck.

"Id say you have a hobby. This is kind of cool." She whispered as she started to look around. I didnt have any posters on my walls, I wonder if she does.

"Do you play?" I asked, my turn to be curious.

"No, I cant afford this." her smile faded and her head bowed as she stared at the ground. "Besides, dad would never let me." She whispered. Did he let her do anything? Was she even living her own life.

"Well, we can play anytime. My home is your home Sarah." I grabbed her hand and gave it a big squeeze.

"Asher, I should get to work." She whispered. My heart sank but i knew she had to go. I wanted to keep her here forever, but if i wanted forever with her id need to go along with everything. At least until I can get her away from her father for good.

"Right, rain check?" I gave her a smile in hopes that it would convince her to come back.

"Sure..." She mumbled, she was so unsure of herself. Unsure of us. I needed to do something to make it so she knows Im not going anywhere. I wont stop until she is safe and can live her life away from that asshole.

"Sarah, you are welcome to come over at anytime. Late at night, Ill sneak you away from home and you can stay here. I can sleep in the spare room. Youll be safe. I promise." I gave her another smile. Was I bombing this? Too strong? I watched her intently, but she just stood there. Stuck in her own internal dilemma. "Only when you want too, Sarah." I quickly added as I guided her out of my room. We headed towards my car.

She said nothing the entire ride, I kept glancing over at her. I truly felt like a hungry teenager that wanted to pounce. I wanted to feel her in my arms. Kiss her.

"Thank you." She whispered out of no where, causing me to stiffen in my place. I kept my eyes on the road ahead of us.

"For what my dear Sarah." I tried sputtering out calming, but sounded like a pathetic teenager going through puberty. My calm and collected side had completely vanished at this point. The way she made me and my wolf feel was growing each second.
